Shows that haven't stood the test of time.

Pardon me if this topic has been done before~

I can't watch Seinfeld anymore. Did I really think this show was the funniest thing on t.v.? I must have been a different person then.

How about MASH? That's another one that I click over. Too dated?

I can still watch I Love Lucy, but now I find myself getting annoyed with the way Ricky talks down to her.

It must be possible to outgrow a certain type of humor.

    How about you?

Lucy is pretty dated, the conservative tv of the 1950's is hilarious! Twin beds!
The threats of domestic violence are not funny and are very un-PC. Even Friends is starting to look dated when I have seen it recently.

I'm probably in the minority, but I never liked Mash, Friends or Seinfeld to begin with. lol

I think alot of shows from the 80s like Knight Rider, Who's The Boss, and Growing Pains have aged terribly.

I agree with Jack in regards to those corny family shows from the 1980's.

    The writing was terrible.

I never watched Friends or Seinfeld. I thought they were both vapid.

M*A*S*H* was great until Alan Alda took over and it got all touchy feely.

I tried to watch Mork and Mindy not too long ago and just kind of thought, yeah, whatever. Boring!

As a kid, I loved I Love Lucy. Now, I find it remarkable for how misogynistic it is.

And The Brady Bunch? Loved it as a kid, now it's totally stupid and NOT funny at all.

These are my Oldies but Goodies. Still enjoy watching them.

    I Love Lucy
    Leave it to Beaver
    Archie Bunker (Love Archie)
    Seinfeld
    Mary Tyler Moore
Will and Grace (not so old, but still love it)

    Can't handle anymore of:

    Little House on the Prairie
    Highway to Heaven

I still love MASH. I to never watched Seinfeld or Friends, found them both stupid. But alot of American shows date very quickly. Dont find UK programmes date as badly. Not sure why.

I still love I Love Lucy, and I find Mary Tyler Moore still very good.

I tried to watch a Cosby re-run about 5 years ago and it was just unwatchable it was so awful. I loved that show when it was in primetime.

I hated Seinfeld when it was initially on, but I love the re-runs.

Growing Pains was awful back then. Alan Thickes was atrocious and that fucking flight jacket wearing Bruce Springsteen loving Mike Seaver. Ack! They should killed the kids off in a school shooting episode in the first season. Hes one of those fucking Jesus nuts now. Hopefully he will meet him soon.

It's funny, I used to watch most of the programs mentioned up to this point in this thread but sometime around 1999 I'm guessing, I quit watching episodic television all together...wasn't a conscious decision, it just sort of happened...I will occasionally watch reruns of Law & Order: Criminal Intent or SVU on USA and once in a while will watch something on Discovery or the History Channel but except for sports and movies, the internet has replaced television as my main source of news and entertainment

Yes, Growing Pains and Who's the Boss are downright painful today. But I recall thinking they were horrible when they were on, even though I watched them.

Shockingly, I loved Moonlighting when it was on, and I liked it so much, I bought Season 1 on DVD. And I couldn't even get through the first episode, it was just like watching paint dry.

    Absolutely love Will & Grace.

A silly one that my kids were watching last night - ALF.

Cannot do anymore Seinfeld. Just can't. Oh, and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Never use to watch Boston Legal, but really getting into the older rerun espisodes. Excellent show. Also tape those Code Blue shows where they hope they can repair someone that totally obliterated themselves in a car accident or whatever. Sometimes that can fix em and sometimes they can't.

I never could get into Seinfeld. MASH I still love. My all time favorite and I can watch it forever is The Andy Griffith Show. I know - it's corny and all that, but I love it. Now y'all know my guiltiest secret.

I saw a porno once called LUCY HAS A BALL. The lead characters were named Juicy and Dickie, of course.

    "Oh Juicy, wassa matta now?"
"Oh Dickie, I lost my vibrator...wahhhhhhhh"

    Seriously it was great.

I saw a similar one called "I Love Juicy." Ron Jeremy was Fred, that's all I remember. He actually told the bimbo playing Ethel that he used to be in good shape while he was doing her doggy style in the kitchen. They left it in the tape. Compared to how he looks today, he was hot then!

I rented some old Diff'rent Strokes, and they make Who's the Boss look like Shakespeare.

I cannot watch Seinfeld or Friends anymore either; too much idiotic-based humor.
I still love Little house, however I just don't seem to watch it anymore.
I think it's because Melissa Gilbert isn't as nice as I thought she'd be and it left a bad taste in my mouth.

I'll probably always watch and never get sick of

    I love Lucy
    Golden Girls
    ER
    90210

I liked Growing Pains, but it always bothered me when they made fat jokes about Tracy Gold. I can't stand it now!
WTF were the writers thinking 'Hey,Tracy Gold isn't eating,so better add more fat jokes about Carol.
Example: Carol blows up like a blimp and has to be rolled out of a room.(dream sequence) Mike was always ripping into her about her weight.
The last episode they had her eat pizza-this is when her anorexia was common knowledge. You can see while the others actually eat,she just sort of plats with the pizza.

I can't take Friends (can't stand David Schwimmer). I Love Lucy is getting more annoying as I grow older, Ricky should have kept his pimp hand strong.
I liked the old M*A*S*H with McLean Stevenson.
How about Scott doing a TV Show a few times a year doing stuff from his FAD tour.

I still love to watch Friends. I was watching an episode of Knight Rider and was laughing at how cheezy it was.
Right now I'm on a kick of watching Everybody Loves Raymond.

Love the Andy Griffith reruns, but only the ones with Don Knotts. The color ones with Howard, Goober and the others are annoying. Plus when Opie became an awkward teenager. Opie in a band - lol

Oh My Gosh!!!! Did you say thirtysomething? I LOVED that show and I watched every episode they made. I would openly cry when the sad things happened. I would like to get the whole series on DVD. I will have to look up that one and see if I can find it. Can you drop by and watch it with me? I will make the popcorn.

The charactors are great and the timing is really something.
