Is NetFlix pretty easy to use and is it safe. Has anybody ever had any trouble with it?

I've just recently signed up.....having observed the ease of use, since my 78 yr. old mother can use it with reasonable success. I'm only on my 2nd movie....so far, so good. I am very impressed with their GLBT offerings.
I want to try it out. But I just want to be careful with things like hidden fees, or it goes up after a certain amount of time. Or you have to be on a contract.

Do you mean the Netflick by mail or the new ways like when my son gets it through his XBox?
I did Blockbuster mail and it was fine but they occasionally say you never returned something. I always had but I thought they believed I was lying. I eventually dropped them.
There were not hidden fee though, it worked fine except for that one issue.
I have used them for approximately the past 2 years and have had no problems at all.
I've been using them for about 4 years and haven't had any problems whatsoever. It's pretty convenient.
God I love my Netflix. I get a lot of the HBO/showtime series on there, as well as movies. My queue has been at maximum capacity (500) for almost a year now. I find tons of stuff I want to watch. I think there has been maybe 1 movie in the 5 or 6 years I've had Netflix that I couldn't find on there. I've had a few broken disks here and there, but they send out a replacement as soon as you report the problem. I love Netflix. It's one of my favorite things.
I've had them for 2 years. Only problem I've had was 2 movies were in bad shape. There is a link on the web site where you report it and they send a replacement to you in 2 days or less. No questions asked. There is a warehouse here so I have a 1-2 day turnaround. Best deal fro movies and the monthly cost is less than you could rent 2 for. I pay $18.10 tax included for 3 at a time. If you push it you could easil watch 15 movies for the same $18.10.
There shouldn't be a contract or anything like that.. and in fact, I pay less now than I did when I first started using it. They lowered the price a dollar a month, I think. That's for the 3 at a time plan. The only thing they charged extra was $1 month if you want to get BluRays. And if something is changing, they will always notify you beforehand and let you have time to cancel if you wish.
I love NetFlix....no muss, no fuss
ME want it SOOOO bad...
I've been with Netflix since 2001, no problems - except sometimes getting DVDs that are so scratched up, they freeze up in mid-play.
I just can't believe how inconsiderate people can be to fuck up DVDs like that. Every one of mine in my collection are pristine!
I use Netflix and Greencine- I notice Netflix has less waiting for dvds than Greencine. Yet Greencine has stuff that Netflix-but you get wait-listed for the stuff quite a bit.
We use it and couldn't imagine life without it, really.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]peek-a-boo!!
You can cancel whenever you want... They offer a two week free trial period to try it out. I got service with them again yesterday. My only problem is I'm hugely disappointed that my computer doesn't support their online watching section though... Other than that, no problems.
Can't live without it, amazing selection and superfast.
After they get you hooked, they do try to get you to increase the number out which increases your monthly fee, but I'm so into Netflix, I let all except the basest of cable go, so I'm spending $30 a month on Netflix, but saving $100 a month on DirecTV.
I've used Netflix and Blockbuster, and prefer the latter. They have better turnaround and they don't charge extra for Blu-ray movies (I believe Netflix does).
We've used Netflix for a few years now and have never had a problem with the DVD's or otherwise.
been using for about 2 years now. love it. never had a problem.
â??You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space.â?
I've had Netflix for over 3 years and I love it. Very easy to use and an incredible selection. Have had a couple of dvds arrive damaged but just notify them and they send out a new one.
Greencine.com doesn't charge extra for their blu-ray dvds either.
I love Netflix. I have used it on and off for years. My mom has had her account since Netflix started and I doubt she will EVER cancel.
I am currently getting Gilmore Girls, but once that is done I am thinking of switching to Blockbuster. I like that you can turn them into the store and exchange them and that they don't charge extra for Blu-ray. Not sure though.
We've used Netflix on and off for several years. They've gone down in price since we started. Quick turnaround, they replace anything you get that is damaged as soon as you report it. They also have previously viewed movies very cheap. Usually $5.99. We also watch a lot of the on demand movies, too. The offer the converter for I think $100, but we got it for less than half at Frys. It lets you stream it from your computer to your TV.
Love Netflix.
My 82 year old mother uses NetFlix, and loves it. Despite living in a pretty rural area, she has great turnaround time. She's thrilled.
i have nothing but great things to say about it.
I dont use it, but I use GameFly- same thing but for games. I love it and I have never had a problem, as a matter of fact, they said I didn't do return a game, all I had to do is email them, and they creidted me, right then and there. They have AWESOME customer service, and I think they are the same company.
I need to Netflix.
You know, that Red Box service is pretty great too. I use both, actually.
We've had our Netflix for awhile now, and we love it. We've never had any problems, and one thing I love about it is that they have such a huge array of movies and TV shows, better than any video store I've been in.
We do Gamefly too, and never had a problem with it, either. My son loves that he can try a game and see if he really likes it before we go out and spend the money on it. Sometimes he has the game mastered quickly, and it's a good thing we didn't buy it!
Here's something for all you Netflix people. We had a period, around the time my father died, where we didn't watch our DVDs for MONTHS. I'm talking 6 months or more with no activity (I lost track, I was in a haze.) They suspended the account, and when I was ready to go back, they reinstated me, no problems. The three movies I had out I got to keep. (yeah, paid more for them than I would've if I had bought them, but hey, it is what it is.)
Netflix works great for us because there are times we just can't get to the DVDs, much as we want to, and I ALWAYS had late charges before. No more!![]()
I need to expand my horizons ..... what movies should I add to my Netflix Queue, dahlings?
I'm open to just about anything ..... what do you recommend?
Netflix is great! so easy to use!
I am abit confused by something. I have netflix and I um get some movies from time to time from them. I pay like 8 bucks a month or something. I recently discovered the Starz pages and I can actually watch the movie on my pc. Well that is delicious and all but I am curious...why are all the movies all movies from like the 1400's and stuff? No really good movies that I really want to see "instantly"thanks.
One of my very favorite comedies is one few have seen, Big Trouble. Look at the cast; for that alone this movie deserves a second life. Never mind that it's absolutely flippin' hilarious.
But its problem was that the plot at one point involves the threat of violence on an island-hopper plane... and its original release date was supposed to have been in late Sept. 2001. So the studio shelved it until 2002 (same happened to a Schwarzenegger film), and then released it with little if any promotion. Sad fate for a great comedy. I recommend it highly.

It's added--thanks, Dude! Keep 'em coming, dahlings!
I have used it for about a year and have had no problems with it(knock on wood)
I used to use Cinegreen-or was it GreenCine.
Most of my queue was either short of long wait. Once, I
didn't receive my dvd. In fact,it never came.
The oddest thing-I was notified I was to get a dvd and wait and waited.
It never showed-BUT then I was notified that the dvd I was expecting was returned.
Who got it and who returned it?
Netflix-you can get it in the mail, you can see it on your computer and now you can get that gadget that lets you watch their movies on tv.
-bottom line-Netflix is a good deal.

Girl 27 is a 2007 documentary film about the 1937 rape of MGM movie extra Patricia Douglas, the front-page news stories that followed, and the subsequent cover-up of the entire event.
Also covered are the rape of singer Eloise Spann and her subsequent suicide, as well as the better known scandal involving actress Loretta Young and her "adopted" daughter Judy Lewis.

Loretta Young also had a son named Christopher who was an anchor on one of the Tulsa news channels in the late 70's or early 80's. He resigned because it was revealed that he had been involved in a child porn and molestation scandal earlier in his career.
Thanks for posting this, Kat. I had heard about Loretta Young and her daughter but not the other ones.
I've been browsing through netflix trying to find a good scary movie, anybody have any suggestions?
I love Netflix because they are bringing back one of my favourite shows, Arrested Development! It comes back May 26th!
