This is one of those shows I have never watched, but plan to at some point. So I would like to thank that parent group for being pissed off about that butt shot of Charlie Hunnam. I would have missed it. HOLY CRAP thank you. Phew.

Powerful episode.

The acting in this episode was absolutely superb by every single cast member! I found myself not wanting the episode to end at all and then wanted to cry when I found out they're skipping Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving and all but I don't think there are too many people who would mind watching SOA at 10 on a holiday. Most of us are stuffed and bored by that time anyway, right?!
^^damn right^^

Next to last episode. WAH! When the price comes down I will start buying all seasons of this show.

Wow, took me a minute to realize the truck driver is Michael Chiklis, from The Shield, another Kurt Sutter show. I know Jay Karnes and Walton Goggins have been on, and looks like CCH Pounder is going to be in the finale. Was nice to see Hal Holbrook tonight as well. A lot of surprises tonight...

"A lot of surprises tonight..." That is what we call an understatement.

I'm feeling empty/sad today. The same way I felt after Tara was murdered. I had been wanting to see Gemma die all season but I actually felt sad, I think for both her and Jax. It seems to me that Jax is preparing for his own death.

Despite all the deaths in this last episode, none of them hit me as hard as Opie, Tara or Bobby. Maybe because I saw all them coming? Who knows. I also get the feeling that Jax is preparing to die. Did anybody else notice something up with Jax's leg? In the beginning of the epi Chibs asked him what was wrong with it and Jax said he didn't know and then throughout the episode he was limping. Did I miss something? Is that going to play into anything next week? Again....who knows. I just found it odd.
The limp was clue to something, who knows with Sutter. Next week is going to be interesting. Sad to see it end.

I'm still in shock after that episode. I really didn't think Jax would have the stomach to go through with killing his own mother. Yeah, I feel like Jax is preparing for his death. Him asking Nero to take Wendy and the kids to the farm made me think that. I don't get the foot limp either. I can't wait to see what happens next week but I hate seeing it end.

Gemma had accepted her fate. She had been living the outlaw lifestyle a long time. When Jax faltered with going through with it she said, "It's ok honey, it's what we do". One of the most powerful scenes I've ever had the privilege to watch.

Major league fuckup. A tell all book about the show was shipped too early and has some big ass spoilers in it. Kurt is mega pissed. Might be some bodies showing up.

I feel like there's something up with Jax's limp. And what did Nero get from the garage? Was that just an excuse to call Unser? I've only watched the ep once, I need to watch it again.
If I were Kurt Sutter I would be beyond pissed. I don't want to know how it ends until I watch the finale...

The leg he's limping had Gemma's blood on it after he kills her

I pre ordered that SOA book from Amazon. I'm so glad they aren't the ones that mailed it out early. I would be so pissed!

A good show will make you feel sad when it's over.

The afterword was good. Some of the answers to Kurt's main question were great. Gemma was really rocking the goth look when they were bagging her. I think that final toast was cinnamon schnapps. The way Kurt said wow that's hot and from the color. Adios to a good show.

For accuracies sake The Shield was NOT Kurt Sutter's show. He worked on it. Worked his way up to be a player in it. Wrote some shows. Produced. But it was not his show. Shawn Ryan was the creator and big kahuna on The Shield. I read somewhere in here that someone said The Shield was Sutter's show.... nope.
This was one of the better series finales. Great job. I hope they start running re-runs
To my Father. Even though you have crossed the plane, you will always be with me.
You were not just my Father, but my hero. My life has been a poor attempt to be like you
You taught me music, vocals, and how to fight. I can only hope I am half the man you are
When I close my eyes I can see you. And finally, Thank you Dad. for everything.

Toward the end who else was thinking OJ when Jax had that caravan of cali LEO's tailing his ass.

did anyone understand and get what Courtney Love was saying when she was in the show???? Or was she talking jibberish and slurring her dialogue like she normally does when her mouth moves??

Courtney was ok. She didn't have a lot to do.

We'll have to wait a couple of years but we're going to get a prequel from Sutter about the first nine. Probably a mini series.

I just started watching it and they just finished their last season lol but I'm really enjoying it I started watching is because I like Charlie Hunnam I knew who he was before he started the show and I enjoyed his acting in a few other things before I started watching
There was an episode very early on (I think the season that Walton Goggins first appeared in) when they went to see someone in the hospital, when the camera showed the visitor, whoever the patient was had "The Shield" playing on the TV in their room. When I saw it I had already figured there had to be some sort of connection to The Shield, but that clinched it. Hal Holbrook as Gemma's dad was heartbreaking, but his appearance in that last episode and the foreshadowing of Gemma loving to be out in the flowers was perfect.
Yep, I figured they were foreshadowing Jax's death going back to when someone (Bobby? can't remember) told him there was no way John wouldn't have known someone had tampered with his bike.
Yes, exactly. Totally agree with all of that.
I finally got done watching this series on Netflix. To be honest I had a hard time after Opie died and didn't watch for quite a while. Man Gemma really fucked everything up in her anger. I knew that Tara and Clay were going to die that season (my friend accidentally spoiled it for me when I mistakenly told her I had watched it... once she said that I was like "I don't remember that" and thought I was nuts). Tara, Opie and Bobby's deaths were the worst for me too. Opie's first wife was pretty bad too, way way back.
Opie, Tara's, and Jax's deaths were the only ones that made me cry Opie's was particularly hard to watch Tara's was heartbreaking because seeing and feeling Jax's devastation and loss and Jax's because over the course of seven seasons you come to love and care for Jax to watch him say goodbye to his brothers/friends and ride to his death was heart-wrenching
Jax dying is that what you mean? And well I guess they had to end it somehow lol I think it would have been more sad if he'd lived without Tara though his kids would have had a father but a criminal for a father though there are a lot of those kinds of family's like that out there and there's a good chance his older son would have become like him and he and Tara didn't want that
I loved this show but was a little disappointed at the end where Jax committed suicide, I thought that was a bit of a weak ending. Surely they could have come up a with a more action packed ending that he could have died in. Maybe one last shoot out, a bombing, a knife fight etc etc.
