Things you laugh at that that other people don't think is funny

I can't watch the Waltons or other "touching" shows without thinking or saying somthing silly when it pops in my head. I know I should'nt but I can't help it, do any of you see things and laugh and everyone thinks your nuts? And if you do what is it?

When the movie Titanic first came out, I was dragged out to see it at the Theater. (Because of a girl - it's always about a girl...) - Anyway I was not happy, but I really liked this girl so I went (On a side note - I'm the kind of person that if there's a lot of hype surrounding a movie or anything, I automatically dislike it - but I digress)... So I was not happy....

So I'm watching this long crapfest and then the boat starts to sink - the bodies start to slide down and crashing against the boat and all that stuff, and the violins played and I found it comical so I laughed out loud (while others cried)...

Needless to say, I was not a popular guy at the theater that night.... LOL

I do that with many a show and movie-I started doing it alot after I started watching MST3K.
Once, I was at this Boy Scout thing;a family friend was getting a badge or something.
Anyway, I looked around and all these women were so doing the Pledge of Alligence incorrectly. All these conservative woman were starring straight ahead and grabbing their left breasts.
It put a whole new spin on your hand over your heart. Some
were doing it right but some were totally getting to second base with themselves.
I cracked up laughing and couldn't stop and so got into trouble with my Mother.

Honestly, I am the same way, especially if it's a movie I have seen a million times, not just "touching, heartfelt" shows .. just yesterday I was watching the movie "Fear" since it was on tv and my roomie and I were adding our own dialogue .. LOL I amuse myself so easily!

Funerals. I have this problem where I start to giggle at funerals. It has gotten where I have to stand far, far way during sevices. Sorry friends I just can't help it!

I crack up at porn.. I think it may kill the mood for my husband, but he ends up cracking up at me when I start doing voice overs for the chicks.. or when I comment about that one middle finger nail missing on half the lesbian scenes..the best is the hair bumps.. *giggles* I love porn, it's such comedy!

oh, and farts always get me.. I can't help it.. I feel bad when I'm at IHOP and there's usually that older couple there and one of them usually can't control their gas.. It's really hard for me not to laugh.. but I try.. I try really hard..

I find things funny just about everywhere...if not the actual thing or event but my mind starts to wander deliberately trying to put it into a funny context. Then I can't contain the laughter. I've done this at the movies, funerals, church, family reunions, you name it...I know I'm weird, and damn proud of it...

Back in the late 70s/early 80s I went with friends to see the move The Zombie or Zombies, I can't remember which title it was. It was dark and these horrible zombies were going around eating people alive and everyone was screaming. Except me. I don't know what it was about that movie, but I was ROLFLMYFAOoooooooo.

After one particular Wednesday night when the preacher stopped his message and stared at us, we quit sitting beside each other.

Pretty much any death scene in any horror movie. Unless it's a really intense one, like a Rob Zombie film, and even then I laughed at Halloween. Sometimes the way they die in these films is just so creative I have to laugh out loud.

I laugh at MadTV, especially the "Abercrombie and Fitch" spoofs. And ANYTHING that has to do with farting sends me into a cackle fest.

    I'm such a lady.

And yes I fart and we allllll laugh. You're not a Miller (my family namesake) if you don't!

I had to control my laughter the other day when talking to a friend of mine. A family friend of hers died unexpectantly, being a death hag, I asked what happened. She starts to tear up "well she went out on the delta with her family, they were taking turns on a jetski and she was going to fast around a bend and colided with a boat". Oh my God I say as I cover my mouth as if in shock, but its really to stop the giggles. When I got home and told my boyfriend about it we both laughed out loud alot, and said yep we're going to hell.

I have a co-worker who is one of the jumpy types...VERY easily startled. Drop something on the tile floor somewhere close to her? She'll scream like she's auditioning for a bad horror movie and try to climb up on the counter.

I had another co-worker who LOVED this fact. And he took advantage of it...often. He'd find the most creative ways to freak her out. And while she didn't think it was very funny, you'd think after a while she'd figure out that it was going to happen...but nope. Every time. Full on blood-curdling scream.

Gosh, I wish he hadn't left the store I work at! LMAO!

I laugh everytime I hear about a criminal that was hurt or killed while attempting to do commit a crime. It's not like I wish for it to happen, but I can't help but laugh when it does.

"Very easily startled" is a sypmtom of anxiety. Been there done that
and it's not that funny if it's you. I wasn't as bad as that women
but sudden noises or movements scare the bejesus out of me.

I laugh each time at the belch scene in Elf.

I work with her on an almost daily basis...If any of us had any reason to believe that there was something seriously wrong with her, we wouldn't tease her.

In my job, we find out what buttons to push to prank each other. It makes the day go by faster. She knows, like all of my other co-workers, that I despise horror movies and lizards. Both of which have been used against me at work. It's all in fun.

I am the one person in the world who was actually scared by Blair Witch Project. I mean like sleep-with-the-lights-on-for-six-weeks scared. I would sleep in a recliner in our living room with all the lights on and the tv turned on just enough so I could hear the voices. (I have no explanation for this, y'all.) Anyway, one night I decided I was going to be brave. I went to the bathroom, and then I was going to turn all the lights off and go to bed in the bed, just like a normal person. So I opened the bathroom door and my son was standing there. I screamed so loud I woke up everyone else in the house. We still laugh hysterically when we talk about that night.

    See? I'm laughing again.
Remember the movie "Polyester" when Francine's (Divine) husband rolls over in bed and lets off a huge one? AND--the "Odorama" card provided a scratch-n-sniff "you are there" experience? I almost swallowed my tongue, and I think I DID pee myself from laughing...

    Racist Jokes

How do you guys feel about jokes that are well racist? Like the other day at work someone made a joke (a very old one at that) bout mexicans. One of the guys got defensive for me, and said to the other guy he should say he was sorry for saying such a thing in front of me. I laughed it off it didn't bother me at all. So how do you feel about a joke on your own race. By the way here is the joke.

Why do Mexicans have small steering wheels?

So they can drive with their handcuffs.

I was at my uncle's house the other day and my three cousins and my mom were watching The Notebook. Even though my cousin says that she cried while seeing, I just kept laughing at the characters. Any movies like that just make me laugh, sorry to say.

Depends on whose telling it. If its a bigot and meant to be ugly then I dont like it. If its someone who is obviously not and telling in a mixed audience to be funny then I like it.

I don't know why people need to tell jokes like that in front of people that can and do offend. Maybe to prove some point like they are stupid?? LOL

    LOL That's hilarious.

For me it all depends on the teller of the joke. If he's a jerk the joke's not funny. Not in front of him anyway. I would probably retell it later to an approving audience.

The thing is, jokes like that aren't really racist jokes, they are jokes about stereotypes. The reason they are funny is b/c stereotypes are true, most of the time. Hence "stereotype. It becomes racist if you tell it with an angry heart. It's like any joke. I love no arm no leg jokes, but I certainly would never point & laugh at a quadriplegic.

I have a few Mexican friends I can't wait to tell that joke to, although probably they've heard it.

I do not think dead baby jokes are funny though.

My husband thinks its funny watching kids smoke cigars and the fact they think its soooooooo cool puffing on a White Owl. He still thinks cigars are for..well old men.

The original Carrie with Sissy Spacek. The scene where she begins her period in the high school shower and thought she was bleeding to death. The other girls throwing tampons at her yelling "plug it up !!"

I know I shouldn't laugh at that but everytime I see that movie..I laugh !!

between that and when Carrie says to her mama "..why didn't you tell me mama?" "they all laughed at me mama" .
