There is a book, I read several years ago, that transcribed those tapes. It was fairly hideous. I'm afraid I had borrowed the book, so I don't know the title or who wrote the intro... but while reading it, your imagination made you feel like you were listening to the tapes. You could probably do some research and find it. It made a lot of people angry that it was published.

I read somewhere, a long time ago, that one of the workers who recovered her body tried to get money from Clark Gable for a piece of jewelry that he recovered from Carol Lombard's body or maybe from the luggage in the wreckage. I don't know what the outcome of that blackmail attempt was. Anyone else hear about that?

Emily was one of the student's who called 911 "during" the massacre, and Cho actually fires into her classroom (and at her) as she's talking with the dispatcher. Yes I have read about that. I had a book on various air crash sites in the USA and this was one of the ones covered. Troops were called in to search the site and if I remember right, it was one of those searchers that had tried to blackmail him. Clark Gable had given her some expensive jewelry which she had taken on the flight but I don't think it was ever found.

I remember reading a "vague account" of the autopsies once, and they said one of the students was shot 9 times in the head...I've often wondered which one was shot 9 times. I've read Cho's autopsy before and it doesn't really interest me...although I wish they'd release a photo of Cho's dead, faceless corpse...just like they did with the Columbine killers.

Regarding the Virginia Tech incident, I've often wondered what they did with all the desks, etc. from those classrooms...Did they burn all that stuff? I also wonder who's staying in Cho's dorm room.

I wonder if VA Tech has a public directory. I know my university did. You could look up a certain room in a residence hall and it'd give you the person's name. I'd be really creeped out to stay in his room though.

I'll start with those supposedly taken of James Dean in his porsche after the crash, taken by his friend Sanford Roth who was following him. Though it's said Roth destroyed them a few years later, rumours still circulate that they're still in existence somewhere....
