Is on right now on VH1 Classic.
Death Hags....was Malcolm McDowell amazing as Jack Cassidy or what? Of course, Malcolm McDowell is pretty damn amazing doing pretty much anything. I think he'd be awesome reading his grocery list....

He did a great job in that movie. In fact they all looked really good.
Love Malcom MacDowell....everytime i see David Cassidy I remember an interview he did talking about how his brothers called him Donk cuz he's hung like one
I meet him when i was in High school, he was filming a episode of POLICE STORY
at my school...he is so short he came up to about my shoulders and i am 5ft 7
he was very handsome though, I was more partial to his brother shaun
OK, I have been posting about Jack's oldest son long enough without starting this thread (and this is my first thread that I have started, so be kind).....
David Cassidy is my first celebrity crush, and the biggest (well, we can talk about that later ) My favorite Partridge Family song is from the "Sound Magazine" album (kids, ask your parents what an "album" is): "I Woke Up In Love This Morning" and my favorite David song is from 1990 "Lyin' To Myself"....
Enjoy the pictures of the man with the bigger fan club than Elvis and Beatles.....
Yup, have all those albums and his solo ones as well. The prettiest man you will ever see! The eyes ... the hair ... the total package. "Summer Days" and " I Can Feel Your Heartbeat" are my faves. Check out "Summer Days", just a feel good song

And check him out doing a version of Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine" Fantastic!

When oh when are they going to release the other seasons of the Partridge Family ... 2 season are not enough!
I was lucky enough to see David in concert a couple of years ago at our local fair and he blew everyone away. He still has the pipes! And the looks.
Here's a few picture for you Elizabeth! Enjoy!
Sorry darlin' but with fans like me, you're gonna have to make room for
Shaun !!!
Well I was sixteen, sick o' school,
I didn't know what I wanted to dooo (ah!)
I bought a gui-TAH! I got the fe-VAH!
That's rock and roll !!!
Aw, Elizabeth ~ did I hijack your thread? Too bad so sad . And don't shoosh me out of this thread either, I think I'm gonna like it here.
I totally love the title "Appreciation Thread", that's classic!
Thanks, doll!! Seasons 3 & 4 are supposedly done, but they haven't been released due to low sales of 1 & 2 (how is that possible?? Crap like "The Brady Bunch" have all five seasons released, but not my beloved PF???? Unbelievable!!!!)
I saw David in Sept of 2000 in Atlantic City and shook his hand twice (my knees knocked for twenty minutes!!!!) I was instantly transported in time back to 1972....
Thanks for the memories!!!! I am happy he makes so many others happy too!!!
I was IN LOVE with David Cassidy too. I use to dream about him late at night when I would be asleep and just thinking of me and him kissing and just.............................................
I love this thread! I too was ate up with the David Cassidy hormone when I was a kid. I had all their albums too. Sound Magazine was one of my favorites. I have no idea what happened to all my Partridge Family records. My mom probably sold them all in her famous garage sales, haha I found Sound Magazine on CD on Ebay for pretty cheap a few weeks ago. I would like to collect all of them again on CD.

Hi, Zombiegirl!! Didja know that you can get all the PF albums (except "Bulletin Board") on CD now?? And of course Seasons 1 & 2 of the show??? Run, run and buy them....the more we buy, the more David/PF product they will put out??
I still have my lunchbox and both Thermoses and the game and all the albums (domestic, of course)....I got rid of some of this merchandise originally but duplicated it when I found evilbay.....
And now here's SHIRLEY!!!!!
Hey Elizabeth! No, I didn't know that about being able to get them all on CD. The only one I looked for was Sound Magazine, and that one I did find on "Evilbay" LOL @ that by the way. Stupid me, in my previous post, I said DVD when I meant to say CD. So where did you find all the albums on CD??
"Up To Date"....it included "Doesn't Somebody Want To Be Wanted" and "I'll Meet You Halfway" and on the front cover it had the cast's birthdays....
BTW this was their biggest selling album, except for the Christmas one.....do you need the names of all the albums/CD's????
Ahhhhh.....i remembered the blue alright, but there was no bus, LOL I had the Christmas album as well, and I think my mom still actually has it at her house. I'm going to retrieve it next time I go over there. I wish I'd thought of it at Christmas time! haha Do you have a pic of the one called "Bulletin Board"? I don't remember that one.......
Ok, I know for a fact that I didn't have Bulletin Board. I guess I must have lost interest by the time that one came out. The latest one I remember having is the one that looked like notebook paper on the front. Maybe it was called "Notebook"?? Was that the one that came out before Bulletin Board?
And don't forget ... Ricky Seagull even had an album! Doubt you'll find it anywhere ... but of course I have it!!!
Sorry could only find a b&w picture of it
Elizabeth....here is a question for ya.....do you know why they had to get a second Chris?
"Notebook" is the one you are probably thinking about, and yes, it came out before "BB"....I love this one, as it has a lot of classic old songs on it like "Walking In The Rain", "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place" and "Take Good Care Of Her"--awesome!!
Not a fan of the cover...they had David singing and yet couldn't put a fab pic of the guy on the cover???????
The original story in 1971 (put out by the studio) was that Jeremy's family wanted to move back to Virginia because his dad had a job there....
But now, Shirley and Danny say it was because Jeremy was such a terror on the set, and couldn't get along with anyone, including Danny, who was the bigger star....so buh-bye Jeremy and hello Brian Forster!!!
I saw Jack Cassidy in a stage production of "Wait Until Dark" when I was a kid.
A few years back, David Cassidy was appearing at a casino near Chicago. I had 4 comp'd tickets and gave 2 to my sisters. My one sister had a HUGE crush on David during the PF days.
He put on a fun show. And I've never seen so many women in their 40s scream and rush a stage like that.
I remember being DEVASTATED when David posed for that nude pic and did that naughty interview in Rolling Stone. He just shattered all my illusions. I noticed after that the teen mags started scaling back coverage of him.
I also remember entering a "smile contest" in Fave magazine. The winner got a bit part on a PF episode. I remember posing for the picture I submitted. And I still remember the name of the bitch who won: Karen Lee Bowman!
In David's bio he talks about his post-PF life. He ended up broke and virtually homeless! How weird is that?
If even *Shirley* says she thought the kid was a discipline problem (and from what I hear, she rarely says anything bad about anybody publicly) then I take her point of view as gospel ("The World According To Shirley Jones" )....but I do wonder with you, Noelle--"Uh, Jeremy, if you hadn't kicked that nasty Bonaduce kid, and hit Cassidy to boot, we wouldn't be leaving California".....Brian Forster was more than happy to take over a role on a hit TV show, and I think he was the better actor anyway so it all worked out....
Besides, Brian looked more like a Partridge (more like Shirley) than Jeremy did....and didja know Brian actually took drum lessons so he could look like he was really playing those big ole drums (which he really wasn't)???
Queen Of All Cassidy/Partridge Trivia, that would be moi
I have that Rolling Stone and do so totally enjoy David's "happy trail"....but it was a jarring experience at the time (when I was 12) to see David half-nude...
And yes, David did have hard times in the mid 80's...he made $7 million in the Partridge days (wonder how much that would be in today's market) but lost a lot of that in the oil boom from bad investments....plus he had a very unhappy and brief second marriage in that time frame, plus no one could see him as anything but Keith Partridge and he couldn't get a job, and he started drinking heavily....he bunked on his friend Sam's couch for a while.....
His bio is very graphic....his stories RE: Susan Dey are very embarassing and if I were her, I would be extremely pissed....

Elizabeth, did you enter the smile contest? That was the biggest thing EVER!
I was also very jealous of Judy Strangis, who would go out with David from time to time. I was not aware how in love he was with Meredith Baxter.
i meet david once when i was in high school
they were filming a episode of police story at my HS...he is short with gray hair
anyway it was exciting
I would love for them to release the Police Stories he did on DVD. He was so great in them.
Nope--didn't know about it while it was going on, but somehow I heard about it after, when she was on PF....I was a 16/Tiger Beat girl myself!!!
I did know about Judy while the show was on....don't remember how I heard it, but I was so possessive of My David that it made me angry.....and when he married Kay Lenz my parents were concerned when we read about the wedding in the National Enquirer--I wonder if they thought I would go ballistic (which I didn't) but I was happy when they divorced (not to dance on anyone's grave so to speak...)
