It’s been a long time since I’ve posted on the forums, though I am on the Facebook group. No idea if anyone is still active here, but I took a trip down memory lane tonight to see if there were any...
Its been a while since I've posted on here (again). Looks like there's some interesting discussions going on! I'll have to go back and read through them and see what i missed.
Question: I believe...
Omg -- I can't imagine what that must have been like for you...just terrifying!
I've often wondered that too...were they aware there was a problem? I'd love to see this book and find out what Dwyer knows...
One of these years, I'll make it to Clear Lake...in the meantime, RIP boys...
I'm hoping new info will come out now that he's gone...maybe that book he was writing will finally see the light of day? Not rejoicing in his death, just being logical...
Jerry Dwyer passed away...surprised it wasn't posted here...

Amazing how much Marshall Crenshaw looks and sounds like Buddy...

Doesn't look like the family is going for it...

Here's something to chew over...this has just been discovered. Do you think its really BH and the crickets?

I met him years ago. Nice old man. May he RIP.
I know, right? I just keep thinking of all these great roles he could have had over the years and all these great shows he could have been on, had he lived.
So far, I'm not as big a fan of Angel...
Here's his Boulevard of Broken Dreams episode...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elUkgKOOyDw
I can see that...I'm still working my way through season 1 of the show, but I have to admit, I haven't been enjoying it as much since Doyle left and Wesley replaced him. But I hear it will get...
Stealing this off the Buddy Holly's Life FB page, just because it's such a rare photo...likely early 1958, when Buddy's Strat got stolen and, without time between shows to get another, he had to...
OMG, loved his accent on Angel. Such a talent. What a waste...but yeah, I'm going to start looking for more of his projects now. I know, I'm a little late in becoming a fan, but I'm really drawn to...
I know this thread hasn't been touched in a couple of years, but I'm traumatized lol. So first, I'm finally getting around to watching Angel on Netflix and they kill off my favorite character, Doyle....
Thank you Aviatrix! Realizing lately, I need to spend more time on the forums and less time in RL, for my sanity, so you may be seeing me around more...
Interesting point! Sadly, I think they knew they were going down.
Also, new tribute album coming out:

Haven't posted on here in a while. Came in today to check my messages, and was reminded that I never posted this crash footage I have from a documentary. It doesn't show much more than the pics...
I know this is from The Onion, but what a great tribute...sure would have made the state of the union speech more entertaining lol...

Saw this on the Buddy Holly's life Facebook page. Very cool pic...

LOL!
I was sad to hear of his passing, even though I've heard a lot of negative things about him. 54 is way too young, and I had hoped to meet him someday and formulate my own opinion. RIP.
Wow, had never seen the footage of him "rescuing" the kids from the hut before, or the other footage before the accident. That's a cool little video.
These were always my favorite backstage photos from the tour:

I just finished reading "The Crow: The Story Behind the Film." AWESOME read!
Lol!
It's been 23 years since Jim Henson died -- hard to believe...
Nothing overly gory, but good pics...

Didn't see this posted...if I missed it, please merge, Mods. I'm putting this in "behind-the-scenes" because she helped her husband create the Muppets :)

This is pretty interesting...interviews about the Crickets Great Britain tour...

Looks like they're keeping him out and on display, Lenin-style:

Freaky video! What were those weird hand gestures about?
Not a book, but possibly a new documentary. HOWEVER, we've been hearing about this doc for three years now, and so far, no one seems to know for sure when/if it will ever get released:

Yeesh, poor woman! What an ass...
Always have my eyes open for pics from the crash site, but so far, I've come up with nothing...

Very cool video from this year's WDP! One of these years, I am still determined to make the trip out there...

Lol -- this has to be one of the best thread titles ever!
Good link...

I haven't had the opportunity to compare the box sets, but I think Purple Chick is probably one of the best. A fellow Holly fan in Germany compiled his own set with every possible version of every...
Some would say the fact that Fender is working with Maria Elena on this project doesn't do much for their credibility either.
There's already a thread on this, but I'd be remiss if I didn't mention this one in this thread: I still eat at the Cracker Barrel in Brooklyn, Oh, where a mother and her two daughters were murdered...
Wow, this is a new one for me! Very interesting!
I've been hearing about this documentary on the WDP and crash for a couple of years now, and there's still no sign of a release. But, as an indie filmmaker, I know how easily issues arise that delay...
On the other hand, you'd be on vacation! Beats getting smashed up in a car wreck on the way to work
I'm confused, was he using the water to drown himself? How would it keep from...
I've never heard of this either! Curious to see that movie now...
Omg, those stockings on the cemetery fence -- I get where they were going with that, but it just comes off as freakin' creepy
