Damned hard to believe he was 75.
RIP, Ric.

Damn that is sad to hear.
He had fallen off my radar. 75 is not that old. RIP.

I'm betting it was either a stroke or a heart attack...
That Cars song "You Might Think" is deeply embedded in my memory. Had it on 45 years ago. Yet another ghost.
Aww. RIP.
This is so sad! RIP to another legend!

That first Cars album was the anthem of my college years. Rest in peace Rick
Yep. It was his heart. https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/cele...cid=spartanntp

He grew up about 2 miles from me here in Towson, Maryland. Ric lived in this house** from age 8 to 16. Then his family moved to Ohio which is where his father Ted was from. It appears that Ric took almost 5 yrs off his age once THE CARS started rolling. His bio always claimed that he was born in !949. He was a 1963 high school graduate and married his first wife Constance that year as well. Ric had 2 sons with each of his 3 wives.

I remember an interview with his wife, Paulina Poriskova(sp?), shortly after their marriage. She said she was attracted to him "because he looked like a fly." Weird but true.
.
Totally crushed by this. I met him once when we were on the same flight. Classy king of cool with carisma like no other. RIP Ric. What a talent and a gentleman forever embedded in my heart. His wife was the lucky one
I told my lawyer he's better step it up or we would both end up on an episode of "SNAPPED"
There may be footage of it out there since it was during an MTV interview. You'll see what I mean if you watch it.

As a person born in the early 1960s I find most of
the music people I enjoyed in the 1970s and early
1980s are dying off.(Sad but true)
