I was in New York this weekend and found myself staying around the corner from the Carnegie Deli. The difference between me and my bf: He thinks "sandwiches!" and I think "multiple murder!"
Anyway, didn't have time to go there, but I was reminded of this case from 2001: Two guys went to an apt above the Deli that belonged to Jennifer Stahl, a former actress (an extra in "Dirty Dancing") who ran a pot-dealing business. They shot and killed her and several of her friends; two people were shot but lived.
Yeah, she was dealing drugs, but she sounds like a decent person (apparently she provided a lot to ppl with HIV/AIDS). A friend of mine knew the guy who was killed who was from Boston. The idea of someone coming to your house, lining you up on the floor, and shooting everyone.... Especially if you're just visiting, like her friends were... brrrr.
