Not to mention...is it really considered "missing" if Granny there was talking to her daughter over the phone during those weeks? Sure, I guess Casey wasn't where she said she'd be at...but in my mind, when someone goes "missing" it means nobody has heard from you /seen you/ had no contact with you what-so-ever.

I made sure I watched Nancy Grace last night. Ya know, she's mellowed a bit since she's had the kids.

Anyhow, they played this asswipe's jail phone calls. All she's worried about is getting her boyfriend's numbers so she can call him. Christ Almighty I hope she rots in jail.

Grandma now wants her daughter arrested for murder because grandmas car smells like someone died in it..what are the cops waiting for? Wonder if she would take a lie test? Seems like this case is going absolutely NO where.

and what sucks is the law is protecting this bitch. since she was arrested and lawyered up, she doesn't have to answer any questions unless she goes to trial.

and those tapes of her talking to people in jail..

casey asked for one more day and grandma says no, i already gave you 30. grandma has known the whole time that the grand daughter was missing and gave casey 30 days to tell the truth, when she didnt, she called the cops on casey. those two still dont give a shit about the kid. casey didnt even ask about her child, she just wanted her boyfriends phone number, who i believe is tony. for the love of everything that is holy, why doesnt someone just beat the truth out of her.

oh, and she ran up a $45,000 bill on her mothers stolen credit card!!! what the hell did she buy?

this story gets crazy by the minute!

The grandmother is now defending her daughter. I think she
    knows she is guilty.

I asked my friends (during the whole Jon Benet thing) what they would
do if they realized their son killed their daughter. To my surprise,
2 out of 3 strongly would do anything to protect their son. I found
    that rather shocking.

WTF??? What kind of grandmother would give their daughter 30 days to tell the truth! OMFG!!!!! This isn't a pair of shoes. This is an innocent little baby girl.

I hope they burn in hell.

Now they are saying the family may be in danger and that is why Casey isn't talking. She only wants to talk to certain investigators and they are trying to negotiate that. Here is a link to the latest information. They are making it sound like there are people involved that are linked to the police. Very interesting.

I wonder that too...maybe they either think there is the slightest chance they could find the little girl alive, or they are trying to find where her little body is, and they are aware they are dealing with some VERY unstable people....

There's a strong odor of bullshit going on here, besides the decomp smell in the car. This stupid dipshit is evil and manipulative - she'll do and say anything to wriggle out of this. Her mother is just as stupid to stick up for her.

My kid got clobbered (okay not physically but discipline wise) about a month ago for doing something stupid. That's my thread about how my kid thinks she's sneaky. That was eight dollars and she now knows the value of that eight dollars and plus some. Something tells me that dipshit's mother spoiled her ass, and then had to put up with a lot of self involved crap from her daughter just to see that little girl. What she should have done was gotten custody of the little girl and cut her daughter out of her life.

I know hindsight is 20/20 but Jesus Mary and Joseph, how fucking far do you go with your children? I love my child, she'll be my little dolly til my last breath, but if I thought she was capable of murdering her own child? The cord is cut then.

I live locally here and I hate to admit it, but I'm just trying to ignore it. The woman seems keen to get out of jail and only seems to care about herself, if she knows where the child is, it's really cheap and easy to get out--if the child's alive. So, against all hope, I'm thinking the child is dead.

I know the general neighborhood where the grandparents live, it's not what I'd call high end, but it's not white trash either, if anyone is interested.

I want to know about the mother's drug history. If she was a user, then she could have sold her child for drug money. That would be the only thing I could think of as to why she feels like her family is in danger by talking to police.

But that still doesn't explain the decomp smell in the car.

I'm very surprised the mother has not cracked since being incarcerated. I'm sure jail is not a very pleasant place and I'm sure the investigators have interrogated her over and over. I just see lots of defiance and absolutely no remorse from her for anything she did to that child.

    lab_rat Guest
I was actually thinking along the same lines, Mel. It seems like she had no income so maybe she was in debt and either sold the baby or the baby was taken from her until she could come up with the quid. But, again that doesn't explain the smelly car.

Ummmmm, since I've been fortunate enough to have avoided smelling decomp, would the comment made by the grandmother (that the smell was from old pizza) make sense? I'm guessing not........although I have smelled a dead rodent, is that what human decomp smells like? Well it doesn't matter because I have no idea what pizza smells like after being left in a hot car for days either!

I'm not familiar with the smell of decomp either, but Nancy Grace interviewed a cadaver dog handler from the FBI and asked whether rotting food could be mistaken for a dead body. She said that the dogs are specifically trained to only recognize the smell of a dead human - not rotting food or even a rotting animal.

Yes, but they have a much more acute sense of smell than humans. They must be able to distinguish the difference.

there is no smell like a dead body, then a dead body. its horrible. i used to work in a nursing home and sometimes people would die and not be found for hours, if it happened overnight and thats not even that bad of decomp by that point in time. if this was out in the heat, ewww.

the smell of decomp was in the CAR and TRUNK. two different areas of the car. plus there was a former homicide detective there when the car was found and he said it smelled like decomp and he is familiar with the smell.

dogs are even trained between the smell of dead animals and people. the pizza agrument is not going to hold up. her atorney is claiming that cadavar dogs are wrong all the time, im not sure how accurate he is, but then maybe they need more then one dog to see if they smell it too.

so, today there was a court hearing about the release of jail tapes. casey lost, the judge saying that he was upholding the 1st ammendment, and all of her tapes can be released. i heard the convo between casey and her bro. she is totally lying to him. she says that the babysitter has called her on her cell, so her number should be on the bill, but she cant remember the last time the babysitter called her, could have been months ago... yeah ok.

lets just say someone kidnapped this kid. wouldnt they have killed her at this point with all of the media attention? if this kid turns up and only has been dead for a week, i hope casey still gets charged with murder. this case still makes no sense...

Yeah that's another thing, she really just painted herself into another corner by saying that the fictious babysitter's phone number would be in her cell phone records. But the problem? She doesn't know where her cell phone is. It mysteriously got lost. Riiighhhtt.

That wouldn't even matter would it MEL? As long as they know the phone number they can access the records right? Painted in a corner is right........

That's true. I would assume the investigators would be able to access the cell phone provider's records and look to see incoming and outgoing calls. Apparently she is claiming that she spoke to Caylee via a private phone number the very day she was arrested. I don't know if they could trace a private number, if such a call was placed at all. She also says the babysitter sent her text messages, but since her phone is so convienantly missing then I guess they can't check the supposed text messages.

  37. #187
    ajurk Guest
i worked at cingular/at&t for years. if the incoming call was blocked then no one at the company could pull that number up (from what i've been told, but u never know). but there is no way to block a number for text messages. even if it was a prepaid phone on both ends, they can still get all the info, the phone number, the time of the call, incoming or outgoing and tech support can even tell which tower they are pining off of.

im wondering what the boyfriend is thinking in all of this. the phone was suppose to be at his house, but wasnt...of course. he is suppose to be cooperative with police.

  38. #188
    panda Guest
Yes AJURK, that boyfriend seems to be all she's interested in. Child is missing, you're in jail & still all your concern is with your boyfriend & his number. If he's her boyfriend shouldn't she already know his number?

A little confused here, please help me out. Cindy is saying that the person(s) with the babysitter's name that the police have spoken to are not the babysitter that Casey left Caylee with? There are lots of people in Florida with the same exact name of Caylee's babysitter?

Well, where is the composite sketch of the babysitter, shouldn't there be a nationwide alert out for this woman? Let me guess, Cindy & Casey think its better to keep the woman's description a secret to avoid putting Caylee's life in danger....and just how in the hell do they plan on finding them without anyone's help? I mean if the cops can't seem to find this elusive sitter with Caylee, what makes Cindy & Casey think they can do a better job? Casey had a month prior to this and she found NOTHING. A concerned mother would welcome the help of the police.

In the interview LABRAT posted, Cindy states that it was 7-7:30 & that was the time they usually are getting Caylee ready for a nap or bed.......well, which is it???? Who in the hell puts their 2 year old down for a nap at 7:00 at night???

I wish somebody would beat somebody to get some answers, this is ridiculous!

I think there is no picture of the babysitter because the cops do not believe Casey and think she is responsible. That being said, if Mom (Cindy) thinks she (Casey) is so innocent then why hasn't she hired her own sketch artist?

    The whole thing is nuts!

I wish Larry King had asked Cindy why her daughter was seemingly partying it up and having a great time with all her friends with no care in the world while her baby had been "kidnapped" by the babysitter. I'd love to hear that excuse.

Also, Casey keeps talking about going through other resources to track down Caylee before the police got involved. I wonder what resources she's talking about. Going on shopping sprees and gallavanting all over town with your boyfriend and friends is not a resource in which to find your missing child

I know, I saw those pics of her at a bar on the news this morning, but cannot find a story online with the pics yet...they were taken a week or so after Caylee went missing...and 2 days before she left her bro a message on myspace....

Uh, now she's saying she worked "off and on...it was a promotional thing" at Fusian? How does one do that? Please. Give me a break. This woman either accidentally or intentionally killed her kid. I don't care if she was employed FULL TIME at the bar, I would think she'd be a little less "happy" about being there if her kid was missing.

This is the biggest crock of shit I've read in years. Everybody on the planet knows she did it, and still that family insists she's innocent. This just makes me livid.

Well there's a simple way to check the works at Fusion story out......ask the owner/manager of Fusion. I wonder if the police have done that? Her lawyers sure act like they got all kinds of information & all kinds of names of people involved, so when do they plan on sharing that with the world? When do they plan on going after the kidnapper & getting the baby back since they know so much....If she did kill Caylee, all the stalling in the world is not going to change that so what is the point in going on with this kidnapping shit.
