Thread: Caylee Anthony

This just doesn't make any sense. Why would she give her to somebody & then not tell the police where she was? If the baby is alive, which I pray with all my heart she is, I wonder under what circumstances the mother feels its better to sit in jail then to tell the police where the baby is? And why is the grandmother just now coming up with this phone call thing?

The mother (of the missing girl) told police she was afraid to tell them she was missing because of t.v. shows she had seen. Maybe it is the truth and someone whom she is very scared of has the little girl. This case just gets weirder and weirder

^I don't know any (sane) mother alive that would just keep her mouth shut. Your instinct to protect your baby would kick in and you would tell someone.

This case is hinky and she's guilty of something. Not sure what, but it's going to all come out eventually.

Obviously the little girl's mother is lying about the phone call she received. Isn't that convenient that her daughter called her, and that no-one else heard the call.

That was 11 years ago, I still talk to her once in awhile but things aren't like they used to be. They're still married and have 3 kids, the middle child has severe autism.

The police in Florida are a joke...they should have "beaten her head in" by now...that's how you get answers!

That's terrible HC, and now she has kids with the guy she gave them up for. Sounds like they're better off without her for their mother. I can see why your feelings for her would change.

OMG, this case just gets stranger and stranger. I do hope that the little girl is alive and safe, I also want to know what's going on, it's suspenseful and mysterious.

    From various news sites:
Earlier, Cindy Anthony had told NBC's "Today" Show Monday that Casey Anthony knows who has the toddler and should be released from jail so she can assist with the search.

Bullshit. Just tell them who has her, if that's the case. I'm starting to lose hope that this little girl is alive.

Is Cindy Anthony out of her mind? I understand the desire to protect your child, but this woman is in denial.

As far as Casey goes, if she knows who has the little girl, tell the police and they WILL let her out. She has gotten a taste of what it is like in jail apparently, and isn't liking it. That girl needs to talk, she can't keep this up forever.

Wow..this whole case is just sick..and I think this little girls Grand ma should not be defending her daughter because there is something not right. This is an argument for Parenting Calsses for all expecting parents.

I really think the way the Grandma is acting is kind of strange. I know if my grandsons went missing and my daughter was acting weird, I wouldn't be defending her. Really, the grandparents were too quick in stating that their daughter was a great mom. This behavior doesn't just show up. I also heard in an interview with grandma that her daughter wanted some bonding time with her little girl since they lived with them and grandparents spent a lot of time with her.

My daughter lived with us for 3 years and believe me, she bonded and had time alone with her boys. Just because they lived with us, didn't mean I was going to do all the childcare.

This is just my opinion, but I think the grandparents are hiding the fact that their daughter has some sort of mental issue or personality disorder. This girl looks crazy...you can see it in her eyes.

So I just saw a phone interview with the grandma on the Fox web site. What I'm not getting is this:

Grandma states that her daughter is trying to tell the police information "in her own way".

What the Hell does that mean? Does she have a special way of speaking? Come on, grandma, get a clue. You're daughter is a nut case and you've coddled her for 22 years.

My thoughts exactly Panda. No way in hell my parents would stand by and let their Grandchildren suffer or be put in danger just to protect one of their children and if they thought for one minute we harmed our kids they for sure would kick my a** they sure wouldn't be making excuses for me!

    totally agree!

My own mother would be dragging me into the street while beating me about the head and neck until I told her what happened. And, she'd be the one leading the charge to find the baby.

I don't get this grandmother either.

This is really not looking good for the little girl. Now, mom's car smells of "decomposition"?

Oh no, how about the stain & hair in the trunk. This makes me sick, I was so hoping she was alive, its really not looking good now. Wonder what the grandmother has to say about the recent findings with the car? Is her daughter still a good mother???

I was watching the bond hearing and one of the cops was saying how they found a stain in the trunk along with hair similar to Caylee's. Plus the smell of decomposition, this doesn't look good at all.

Sad to say, I don't think there's going to be a happy ending to this story.

I actually saw some emotion coming from the mother. She was crying the whole time, especially when her family was on the stand.

Totally different than that smirk on her face walking through the police station that they always show clips of.

Yeah, she's a wacko alright...but so is her mother/the grandmother. It's all about HER in her interviews it seems. At least the ones I've heard and seen.

    From Foxnews:

"Casey's lied to me in the past and when she's lied she's always told me the truth," Cindy Anthony said. "We've gotten to the bottom of the truth when I talk to her and spend time with her."
She told attorneys that her daughter is her "best friend outside my husband" and she had no reason to believe anything had happened to her granddaughter until last week because she'd "spoken to Casey on a daily basis."

I'm sorry, I thought at first the grandmother had been suspecting something was up for a while, due to the many times her daughter had excuses for why Caylee couldn't come to the phone to talk to her??

Grandma's guilty too....because she's in DENIAL about her daughter's behavior. There had to be signs and she just ignored them.

There's an interview that Greta Van Sustren (sp?) had with her and I gotta say, this woman is all about herself. She drove me nuts listening to it and my 20 year old son walked in and heard a portion of it and said right away that this woman (grandma) is fucking nuts.

This seems to be a screwed up family in a pretty package.

    Jesus!

Grandma states that her daughter is trying to tell the police information "in her own way".
Pardon my expressions, but what the flaming fuck does that mean? In her own way? Sounds like daughter is a major ass whackanut and the parents have hidden it for years.

Give this bitch to me, I'll get her to talk plain - after I kneecap her with my Louisville slugger. I guarantee. In fact, I got a van - how bout a bunch of us go down there and do the goddamn job the cops can't?

Not necessarily...just the smell of decomposition. They are evidently still searching, and I think there might be a place in the yard they're searching. They found some blood, dirt and the tiny little baby's hair samples in the trunk. I don't know if they've "lifted the flap" yet...

Another sick and jealous mom who didn't want to see her daughter grow up and be more successful than her (more beautiful than her)...That's what I think. Some moms are like that sadly.

I can't imagine any sane grandmother putting up the lies and excuses and being in such DENIAL! Like I said upthread, my mother would be beating my ass in the street wanting to know where her grandbaby was! And it wouldn't have been over a month either! Something is SO NOT RIGHT here!
