She was my age and I remember sitting at a table in a store I would have been 12 and seeing an article she had died and being so into that. Like someone said before I would study her face. I don't know, that started it for me though!

Maybe I'm an idiot, but who is Cab Calloway? I work in a school in Delaware, and a lot of the kids are auditioning for a performing arts school that is called 'Cab Calloway'. I never thought it was named after a person until just now.

The last we saw of Patricia here in NYC was her daughter wrote to a local TV station to get help from the consumer advocate to go after the contractor who took her Mom's money to make her bathroom accessible did the demo and then split.
It turned out they had a long list of consumer complaints and they and the money were long gone. Home depot stepped up and with an anonymous fan picking up the tab they supplied the materials and the workers and redid her bathroom. They showed her seeing the new john and thanking the contractor that did the work. She looked quite frail but she had that twinkle in her eye!
I don't think she was broke but I think her kids were helping her monitor her expenses. I always liked her.
