It's a good list. I agree with the names, but not in that order. This is what I would like to see (first five):
1. Michael Myers
2. Jason Voorhees
3. Hannibal Lecter
4. Jack Torrance
5. Norman Bates
Anthony Perkins as Norman. Whenever I see a photo of him I always think of him killing Janet Leigh in the shower.
Robert Mitchum in Night of the Hunter
Peter Lorre in M
Richard Widmark in Kiss of Death
Lee Marvin in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
all come to mind
Thought of a couple more of recent vintage:
Javier Bardem in No Country For Old Men
Kurt Russell in Death Proof
Javier Bardem was a great villain. Too bad the ending of "No Country" was screwed up...or at least I didn't get it.
Stanwyck in "Double Indemnity"...she never occurred to me as a villain but she played the textbook black widow.
Andrew Robinson as the Scorpio killer in "Dirty Harry"...a real psycho...going so far as to pay a guy to beat him to a pulp so he loudly say it was Callahan who did it as police brutality.
Then there's Cagney's Cody Jarrett in "White Heat"...another psycho, propped up by his mom...talk about a dysfunctional family.
James Cromwell was a pretty good one in "L.A. Confidential" as the crooked police commander Dudley Smith.

John Malkovich always scares the bejeebus out of me.
Robert Mitchum Cape Fear
Regarding the list...Henry Fonda? Fuck yeah Henry Fonda! Every inch of his evilness was superb in Once Upon a Time in the West. I think that was the ultimate test of his talent, and he passed. Though I wish they had included a few, including Mugatu from Zoolander. Yes, I know many of you hate Will Ferrell, but I really liked him in this.
As for my own list, that's something that I need to give some serious thought. I always love a good villain.
Lena Olin is pretty badass in Romeo Is Bleeding.
A very old film, A night at the Opera(1935)
Lassparri(Walter Woolf King) has a very big ego
as a opera singer would like to be the centre of
attention so he can do a performance of ll Trovatore.
But in the end the Marx Brothers do not let it happen.
(You may just have to see the movie)
Tim Roth is a little snot in most things but mainly his part in 'Rob Roy'
KAHN!
Nurse Ratched
Diane Ladd in Wild at Heart.
Crazy wicked insane performance! Check out the clip!

Tim Curry - The Three Musketeers, Hexus the toxic smoke in Fern Gully (creepy shit!) and the awesomely evil Frank N. Furter from Rocky Horror Picture Show
Alan Rickman - Die Hard 1 and Robin Hood Prince of Theives
Jason Isaacs - The Patriot and Harry Potter
I think Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor in Superman 1 gets an honorable mention. His best scene is with Valerie Perrine when she learns that Luthor has sent one of two missiles to Hackensack NJ. It's a tight two shot when Perrine's character says to Luthor "Lex, my mother lives in Hackensack". Luthor raises his arm and looks at his watch, then looks Perrine in the eye, then gently shakes his head, then he walks away.
I wouldn't include the Joker because, IMHO, it's even between Nicholson and Ledger, for different reasons.
Dame Judi Dench in Notes on a Scandal with Cate Blanchette...she was creepy in that!
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]peek-a-boo!!
Clancy Brown as The Kurgan/Victor Kruger from the original Highlander.
I am bias as I am a Highlander geek. Even named the last two of my sons Duncan and Connor as neither wife or ex-girl friend would except Darius or Kurgan.
Dennis Hopper as Paris Trout. Hands down, no contest!
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Harvey Korman as Hedley Lamarr!
An Eye for an Eye
Lost Boys
Stand By Me
One that isn't as common would be Robin Williams in Insomnia. Really like him in that one.
"Death has come to your little town, Sheriff." -Dr. Loomis
love Cruella De Vile, Maleficiant, all Disney villians
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Evil queen in Snow White! She wanted proof of death just for vanity!!!!!
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
I'm sure the first Cape Fear was better. The remake with Robert De Niro was just plain weird, not really "Scary". Kind of stupid
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
jack palance in shane
The actor who played King Edward "Longshanks" in "Braveheart"....(damn!) I can't think of his name..
