    Jim Steinman

I remember telling my students that Jim Steinman was a better writer than Emily Dickinson. LOL

I hope I'm not butchering this quote: "If you don't go over the top, you'll never find out what's on the other side."

    RIP

I was surprised to see this. I was never a huge fan but you have to give him props. Bat Out of Hell was huge.

He wrote and produced some great songs for the movie Streets Of Fire. "Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young", and "Nowhere Fast". Still one of my favorite movies and soundtracks. His songs were always so dramatic and distinctive. Whenever you heard certain songs, you always knew it was him that wrote them.

Not gonna lie: I loved Bat Out Of Hell, Total Eclipse of the Heart, and Holding Out For A Hero, just to name a few. Some say his music was over-dramatic crap, but I loved a lot of it. RIP, Jim Steinman!
