I feel the same. Time keeps chipping away at my past.

I read his autobiography a couple years ago. He had a rough, lonely childhood, even though their dad was famous and wealthy. After he and Jane's mom committed suicide, Peter was usually sent to live with his aunt and uncle in Nebraska. As I recall, Peter spent much of his high school years there.

Henry was working a lot, spending about 8 years in plays on Broadway (Mr Roberts, Caine Mutiny, etc). Peter always craved attention and approval from his dad. Eventually, they worked it out. He learned about making movies by going on set with his dad when he was doing a lot of westerns.

RIP Peter. He was an interesting, talented guy.
