Something I just found out is one of his sons is the actor Darren E Burrows, who played Ed on Northern Exposure back in the early 90s.

His Frank Nitti was deliciously evil. On his Barbas role, I liked how they really yellowed up his teeth and made his hair look greasy. I bet he smelled like Johnny Depp does now.
