Anyone else looking forward to seeing that film?

Carolyn(1958-2009) always in my heart.
It's Tarantino. Of course I'm looking forward to it. The previews look really good.

From what little I have heard, the Soundtrack will be killer. I mean that as a compliment to QT's choice of music for his movies. Not as a pun, on the subject OF the movie.
Stay in Drugs. Eat your School. Don't do Vegetables.
Yeah - look forward to anything from Tarantino.
His movies anyway.

It's the Summer of Love. Of course the music will be killer. To name a few:
The Beatles - Helter Skelter (natch).
Los Bravous
The Mama's and the Papas
Paul Revere & the Raiders
Neil Diamond
The Stones
Joe Cocker

I am. I just saw the trailer today..
The trailer looks great, and of course the soundtrack will be incredible. I hope they play this one that is listed on Spotify, I remember buying it in '69. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skus2e_JnvY
Today you could be standing next to someone who is trying their best not to fall apart. So whatever you do today, do it with kindness.
I saw some reviews people posted that have seen it at Cannes. A few say it should have got the Palme dâ??Or as many critics thought it was good. Without going into spoilers, from what I read, if you are already a fan of his work then you will know the kind of stuff to expect but on the other hand if you have never seen any of his films you will be left scratching your head saying WTF at some of it.

Excerpt from Scott Michael's Dearly Departed newspaper email:The second trailer for the Quentin Tarantino movie Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood has been released. It's just as exciting as I'd hoped. I no longer have to keep it confidential that I worked directly with Quentin when he started the legwork for the actual filming. My first meeting with him was a year ago last February. He asked to meet with me and I was shown to his office. After clocking the Laugh-In lunchbox and a copy of our movie The Six Degrees of Helter Skelter On. His. Desk. he and I sat and talked about 1969 for an hour. Just him and me. It was one of those "only in LA" moments that I still find so ridiculous and wonderful... I can't say more, but I will.
Just saw "Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood." For anyone with concerns, I would like to reassure you that it is EVERY BIT as historically accurate as "Inglourious Basterds."
Sincerely yours,
Upset
Sorry, folks. I was making a snarky joke about Tarantino playing fast and loose with the actual events in order to tell the story he wanted to tell.
For those of you who haven't seen it, "Inglourious Basterds'' substantially changes the ending of World War II.
"Once Upon a Time" is kind of similar in its treatment of its "source material," and people wanting to see a ''biopic" may not like it for that reason.
Good movie, though. I am a longtime Tarantino fan.
Sincerely yours,
Upset
You might like "Basterds," then; he is the lead. It's on Netflix now, along with "Pulp Fiction" and "The Hateful Eight."

I enjoyed "Basterds" a lot - Tarantino was at his best with the bar scene, although that 25 minute long, extended segment showing Lt. Aldo Raine (Pitt's character) picking up litter at various times of his life was a little boring, to me anyway. Some people might enjoy watching the guy pick up trash, but not so much me.
I might see "Hollywood" this weekend, not sure just yet.

I got it right away. Tarantino makes films for entertainment, not accuracy. That would be boring AF. I liked Christoph Waltz's performance a bit more that BPs in this movie. He is deliciously evil. Which made the ending a hoot. I will not see "Once upon a time" until it's out on DVD. My hearing sucks and going to the theatre is a waste of money for me.
Stay in Drugs. Eat your School. Don't do Vegetables.
We went to see it this afternoon. It is entertainment not history. You have to be a fan of pop culture to enjoy it. The alternate history ending made my wife cry. 8/10 from me.
I can't wait to see the movie!
Hey just saw the moving....absolutely fantastic. Loved the ending.....absolutely perfect.
Y' all need to. It's an intense experience. QT's movies are like little bubbles of alternative Universes. Much like ours, but with subtle and def unsubtle differences. Even Anachronisms. The worrisome thing is there will be some people that will walk away thing that's how it went down.
Stay in Drugs. Eat your School. Don't do Vegetables.
I think he is a dick. But, I do like some, of his movies. Some.
Stay in Drugs. Eat your School. Don't do Vegetables.
The daughter of Bruce Lee is upset with how her Dad is
portrayed in this movie.
Carolyn(1958-2009) always in my heart.
I loved it 10/10 That ending was so great, how badly I wanted it afterwards though.
Scarlett Johansson?
Stay in Drugs. Eat your School. Don't do Vegetables.
Betty White?
Sorry - had to jump in...

Yeah there's some racial and cultural stereotyping that goes on for sure.
But look at it from the director's point of view too.
They always have to hire English speaking people and dub the lines of the Chinese actors because none of them can speak proper English; so that adds some time and expense to the project.
There again, they save a little money on the front end since they can just pay them in rice and raw fish; and maybe slip them a buck or two for doing their laundry or something.
They could avoid most all that if they'd just get back to hiring Chinese actors like that Charlie Chan guy:
Then you wouldn't have Chinese actors or their daughters complaining about stereotyping or inaccurate portrayals and the like.

The first Charlie Chan movie that Bruce saw was on a date with Linda during their early courtship. He was so disgusted by the character's caricature portrayal, they left.
Linda has said that had Bruce not been able to pronounce his Rs, he would not have been hired to play Kato on The Green Hornet.

Wow - and that's some great trivia.
So if Bruce hadn't been hired as Kato, maybe we'd have had Chuck Norris in heavy makeup for the role.
On second thought - some might say that Bruce's behavior and attitude toward the Swedish guy playing the Chinese detective with the bad accent was somewhat racist and intolerant.
It was a movie - suspension of disbelief is often necessary to enjoy them.
Bruce should have just smoked a joint and lightened up.
I still haven't seen the movie; maybe this weekend.

More great trivia.
Seems like you'd enjoy the brownies a lot more if you smoked a joint first.
Of course, if you smoked a joint, then decided to eat some brownies, and the brownies turned out to be pot brownies; that might damned well lead to an overdose that could have unfortunate and unexpected consequences.

It was kind of boring until the days leading up to the home invasion. Loved the ending.
I don't blame Shannon Lee Keasler for being unhappy with the way Mike Mo portrayed her dad. I suspect he watched a lot of Bruce Lee videos to get the right body language and speech nuance and exaggerated both. Not to mention the fact that no one, and I do mean nobody--according to Chuck Norris himself--could touch Bruce Lee. He would have sent Cliff Booth flying.
