    RIP, George.
He had a pretty decent run though.

I've tried to act out that picture dozens of times but I keep getting slapped or chased by husbands or boyfriends.
I just don't see how he pulled that off.

Maybe it was the sailor suit - I haven't tried that.
    Yet.

It's a great photo, so iconic. RIP George.
Today you could be standing next to someone who is trying their best not to fall apart. So whatever you do today, do it with kindness.

If it happened today he could be charged with
    sexual assault.
He grabbed an innocent woman walking down the
street and forced a kiss on her.

Nowadays, people wouldn't be out in the streets celebrating.

Funny you should say that because someone did actually spray #metoo on the statue at some point after it was announced he died.

Speaking of the kiss, George at one point blamed it on being drunk and in high spirits in an interview saying he just grabbed Greta. She herself said she was shocked and it was non-consensual but understood it was a 'Jubilant act'.

Well, I read an article about her reaction. She was naturally taken aback, but she understood that he was merely a sailor celebrating the victorious end of WWII.
