    Actress Barbara Harris died today at the age of 83 from lung cancer. Harris is well remembered for roles in A THOUSAND CLOWNS, PLAZA SUITE, NASHVILLE, FAMILY PLOT, the original FREAKY FRIDAY and PEGGY SUE GOT MARRIED. Married once in the mid 1950s, the marriage ended in divorce 3 yrs later. Harris had no children.

    I loved her in Plaza Suite. I believe that Barbara's death leaves Lee Grant as the last surviving cast member from that film. USA Today's obituary had a large photo of Barbara BUSH!! No kidding. I also read in a rare interview that Harris tended to lose interest in a character once it was time to film, i.e., she was more interested in developing the character.

    I remember her as well from A Thousand Clowns and had a crush on her, an actress sort of in the quirky vein of Jeff Goldblum, but less talkative, RIP.
