    The Duggars!

Here's the story !!! She's pregnant again with kid number 18 !!!!!! Sorry I looked and didn't see a thread if there's one please merge ~

It's a happy Mother's Day for an Arkansas woman â?? she's pregnant with her 18th child.
Michelle Duggar, 41, is due on New Year's Day, and the latest addition will join seven sisters and 10 brothers. There are two sets of twins.
"We've had three in January, three in December. Those two months are a busy time for us," she said, laughing.
The Duggars' oldest child, Josh, is 20, and the youngest, Jennifer, is nine months old.
The fast-growing family lives in Tontitown in northwest Arkansas in a 7,000-square-foot home. All the children â?? whose names start with the letter J â?? are home-schooled.
Duggar has been been pregnant for more than 11 years of her life, and the family is in the process of filming another series for Discovery Health.
The new show looks at life inside the Duggar home, where chores â?? or "jurisdictions" â?? are assigned to each child. One episode of the new show involves a "jurisdiction swap," where the boys do chores traditionally assigned to the girls, and vice versa, Duggar said.
"The girls swapped jurisdictions, changing tires, working in the garages, mowing the grass," she said. "The boys got to cook supper from start to finish, clean the bathrooms," among other chores.
Duggar said she's six weeks along and the pregnancy is going well. She and her husband, Jim Bob Duggar, said they'll keep having children as long as God wills it.
"The success in a family is first off, a love for God, and secondly, treating each other like you want to be treated," Jim Bob Duggar said. "Our goal is for each one of our children to be best friends, and everybody working together to serve each other makes that happen."
    The other Duggar children, in between Joshua and Jennifer, are Jana, 18; John-David, 18; Jill, 16; Jessa, 15; Jinger, 14; Joseph, 13; Josiah, 11; Joy-Anna, 10; Jeremiah, 9; Jedidiah, 9; Jason, 7; James, 6; Justin, 5; Jackson, 3; and Johannah, 2.

They have been on tv several times. Frankly, I am surprised he ever gets off of her long enough to film a tv special.

Maybe I am just weird but does anyone else find these people a little bizarre? I mean I am all for following your religious convictions with regard to children and birth control or lack thereof but when does it end?

Yes I think it is bizarre. It seems this woman is having kids just for the sake of having babies. I think they are addicted to the fame that it brings them. I see nothing wrong with big families but this is ridiculous.
    Wanna see my grandkids?

I think it's crazy. Theyseem like those Utah people on the news. Just plain weird..... I mean the oldest is 20 and doesn't date ???? I've seen the "specials" a couple times and it's just weird !

Yeah I have noticed that all those kids are totally unsocialized to function in the world outside their little "compound" . And how in the heck do they support them all? I remember them saying the father was in real estate or mortgages or something like that. Uh yeah, how's that been working for ya the last 9 months? I would have to think they receive some sort of public assistance or charity that they don't divulge.

I know right. Well the last couple of years I know the discovery channel's or TCL is supporting them with all the dumb shows !

My best friend when I was in grade school was somewhere in the middle of the pack of 18 children. He and I were about 8 when I started going to his house. He and I were friends for about 5 years till I moved to the other side of town. Sometimes I would be in their house when most or all the kids were home and never once did I hear any fighting or see any sign of sibling rivalry. There was a lot of love in that house. I hooked up with him about ten years ago and found out that The family added 5 more kids after he and I lost track of each other and almost all the kids worked together in the same family owned construction business. Another interesting thing was that none of the kids had more then 2 or 3 kids of their own. Also they were catholic.

Guess I kind of missed the obvious huh Maruz? LOL Well besides TLC paying them I cannot imagine that goes far feeding 19 people and I can only imagine the utility bills for that home. Those shows make me crazy but, just like a trainwreck, I watch. They make my husband crazy, he gets all annoyed and makes me change it from "those crazy ass people with all the damn weird kids" LOL

ARGH this is one of my BIGGEST pet peeves. Just because you can "afford" to have 18 children doesn't mean that you should. How do you spend quality time with your children and give them a good level of care? There are tons of children living in the USA that are desperate need of a family to take care of them.

Maybe if this woman truly loved children she and her husband should think of adopting instead of bringing more children into this overcrowded world.

Way to go for adding to the problem you jerks!!!

    Sorry done ranting now...

Good Lord, how much more her can uterus take? I'll bet that sucker is at her knees. I've heard of them prolapsing after just THREE kids!

Or until her uterus decides to try and make a run for it. LOL I seriously wonder if it would be against medical advice to do that to your body. Any nurses or doctors on here know if there is a point where you "shouldn't" have more??

LOL Nessa, great minds think alike. That is what I am saying and I can only imagine what her body looks like. She doesn't not have those small pregnancies where it looks like she has a basketball under her shirt, she gets rather large

I can't help but wonder how much of a childhood any one of those kids are having.

The care for the new kid falls on the ones before it, like dominoes.

WTF is wrong with these people?

Mama Duggar acts like a Stepford wife. Too much blood loss, maybe.

They don't really have fame - I think they do the shows so they do things they otherwise might not be able to do, like take everyone on trips.

I think her hair is bizarre but other than that I think they are awesome. They love each other & they love having babies. If you can afford it & the children are taken care of, why not??

The kids take care of each other, just like all families did before cars & tv & phones. I think it's cool. They are very well adjusted & love each other so much it works for them.

I think the mom just really loves babies. That's great! If she can do it, more power to her.

To each his own as they say & as long as they pay for them all & don't expect taxpayers to pay for them. Personally I would rather crawl across razor blades than to give birth & raise 18 kids. I think they're crazy as hell.

im sure she doesn't even go into labor anymore..all the baby has to do is call out and say"im cominggg" and one of the kids catches it with a baseball glove.

Seems they are "friends" with another family in CA that believes the same way. They bought enough land that they can build their kids houses next to the main compound. I smell cult....

Yes the bible does say go ye forth and repopulate the earth...it didn't say for them to do it all by themselves!

yeah, I agree. Mom looks like she's caught in the headlights and maybe a bit embarased by the whole thing. It can't be easy to keep 17 kids, all with names starting with J straight!
Unless they're really rich from all the appearances, I imagine it's a lot of the cheap white bread and generic baby wipes.
The kids probably look after each other, but it seems a little more like running a school than a family. I think being on TV all the time is exploiting the kids. What if child #11 doesn't feel like being on TV?

They're lucky I don't run things- I wouldn't allow tax deductions after the fourth kid! Some of these people with huge families don't pay income tax with all the credits and it isn't fair- that's us supporting their baby decisions.

LMFAO Mystic! Kinda makes you think they only have sex for procreation purposes since she probably can't feel him at all anymore. It seems odd, at first, that the 20 year old is living at home and not dating but it could be that he/she is going to school and focusing on that instead of dating at this time. I just can't imagine being pregnant for 11 years. Especially since it takes a woman's body 5 years to return to normal after having a baby. This poor woman's body has got to be seriously out of whack.

Amen to that FANNY. My hubby & I made a decision to not have kids so we could save the money & do what we wanted...........HA, we're in the 42% tax bracket because we're DINKS.......so rather then save our money we're forced to give it away to support other peoples kids.........WTF

I am right there with you Panda! We are DINKS as well and get nailed with taxes and we are childless by choice. I say we get some sort of "smart " tax break for not burdening the systems with more children. LOL

It's on the same principle as when you fix your house up they raise your taxes, this makes sense because why????????? There's no incentive, makes absolutely no sense.

Oh that's my favorite, along with the damn people calling me at voting time and asks me to raise taxes so they can give the schools a billion dollars. Um sorry I pay enough and will never be using the services of my local schools, thanks. But yet the others who should be paying for that kind of stuff don't and they get breaks. And I know the schools and teachers don't have enough money already , I am just citing that as an example of services I get reamed on taxes for that I cannot or will not utilize. And also what happened to the CA Lotto money the schools were supposed to get?

OK RANT OVER AND I WENT WAY OFF TOPIC, SORRY!

There it is.......I am NOT totally convinced that they can afford it. Unless you are Bill Gates, how the hell do you earn enough for a brood that says. I don't have a problem with large families, but when the kids have to make an appointment to spend time with their Mom (which they do), that's going a bit to far.

Michelle doesn't mind having the kids because she doesn't have to take care of them. By the time their six months their "buddy" starts to take care of them.

They live what's called a "simple life." They make most (if not all) of their own clothes, they grow food, make bread, & buy very little (considering.)

I think they like the fame and undoubtedly the money they're raking in from these appearances and shows. It's like a freak show (TLC is known for their freak shows)
They home school the children, and yes they do seem rather cultish, remind me a little of the FLDS women and kids. You think this guy has a few other wives hidden somewhere?
