An ex actually purchased the necessary tools/paints and literally painted along with Bob Ross.

This was a man (the ex) who had never attempted any type of art previously.

He wound up having a knack for it, painted well enough to give framed oil paintings as gifts.

    RIP Bob.

I loved watching him when I was a kid. I think I just liked watching the picture take shape.

I Love Bob Ross, My son is autistic and Bob brought me a whole half hour of peace while my son watched him paint, pretty soon I was hooked, waiting for 'Happy accidents' and watching him beating the devil out of his brush. I always feel so soothed after watching him. I know its been a while since this thread was active, but i just had to add to it

I used to watch him EVERY DAY after school on PBS. I remember watching one day and i thought to myself - I bet he has tons of paintings in his house. The minute the tought left my head Bob Ross said " People think I have lots of paintings around my home, but I give them away to friends". That creeped me out. lol. Loved Him!

I loved to watch him. His voice was so soothing and I loved the scritch scritch sound of the brush. I think I will look on e-bay for a tape.

I used to watch that show all the time. He made it look so easy.

To be honest, I never watched the guy. But his internet legend has schooled me. Plenty.

During the time I watched him, I was dabbling in oil painting. He wasn't near as bad as I was.

My friend is an amateur artist. I could run that past him and see what he says.
