I think the cops shot him and said it was suicide because why were there bullet holes leading into the suite and why isn't there a gun near or in his hands? I imagine if you shoot yourself in the mouth the gun will still be around your hands and not above your head a few feet away.

I was wondering the same thing. I guess it could be out of the frame.

I am guessing, do not really know, that the suite had only one entryway. Doors always open in, not out, due to fire codes. He could have moved a lot of furniture in front of the door. If it was a fancy double door, he could have chained the doors together. I keep thinking he brought the shotguns and handguns for a prolonged up close battle. All this will take a while to sort out.

I live outside Chicago, and the nightly news tries desperately to come up with a "Chicago Connection" to any national event.

So they are all running with the story that Paddock had a room booked during the summer music festival Lollapalooza at the Blackstone hotel and that given the layout of that concert, there would have been even less chance of escape.

When it's gone, it's gone. It would force candidates to actually live up to their promises to the people as opposed the the special interests.

I've seen a close up pick. Looks self inflicted due to the way the head is damaged from the mouth up. But, who knows. That can be simulated. Once you shoot yourself in the head by handgun, it's not unusual for the recoil to bounce it a bit. Shotguns, you usually have your arms and sometimes legs to steady it.

    did he leave a note

No. That note contains information about the position of the guns and info regarding the people in the crowd. BTW, is the gun in front of the chair the one he used to rapidly fire into the crowd???

Thanks for that info, Cleanskull. I also agree that it looks self-inflicted. Didn't the police even confirm that Paddock shot himself??

Working at one time for an M.E. and was going to be an M.E. myself, they probably did come in shooting, he probably took one to the chest, raised the gun he had, shot himself in the mouth, and fell back, assuming he was already down and sitting when the police shot him, the police would have kicked his gun out of the way upon entering and getting close to the body, to make sure that if he wasn't dead, he couldn't grab the gun and start shooting them.

That is a self inflicted GSW, point of entry through the Hard Palate.

Interesting. There was an interview with Steve Wynn Sunday on Fox where Wynn said a Do not Disturb for over 24 hours would have been a red flag to his security and they would have investigated it.

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/10/08...ws-sunday.html

“He's been staying in Las Vegas since ‘06. So you know, we're talking about 11 years with his girlfriend or at least in recent years, frequent visitor, once or twice a month, to this hotel and others. The most vanilla profile one could possibly imagine. A modest gambler at least by our standards, you know, nothing serious, paid promptly, never owed any money anywhere in Las Vegas. He didn't fit the profile of a problem or compulsive gambler.”

The only remarkable thing about the couple was no one ever saw them drink alcohol.

A victim's family has filed suit to freeze Paddock's assets, bet the brother that gave the rambling interview wishes he had kept his pie-hole shut now.

Guess they didn't know him too well, looks like a drink in his hand to me and he looks like he might have had a few already.

If he had a few valium left after a year after being prescribed 60 he did not take them that often.

He seemed to have a lot of money. If he had any left is it possible it will go to the victims and their families?

I read somewhere, that he had filed two complaints with the hotel due to the noise of the festival, maybe that set him off, how long was he staying there before the shooting a couple of days? a day, maybe the noise set him off and he left got the guns and decided to end what he may have considered noise pollution.? I'll try to find the article that said he filed the noise complaints.

I had read somewhere that he was regularly comped rooms over the amount of gambling he did. (not out of the ordinary). I don't know if he did most of his gambling here or not but I also read where the hotel is wondering whether or not they will ever be able to rent out this room again.

Too many holes in The Official Story, which keeps changing daily. They keep piling on new stuff, retracting old stuff, trying too hard to make the "lone nut angry white guy" scenario stick, just like they have since Lee Harvey, James Earl Ray and Sirhan Sirhan. TMI!

Just release the hotel security video of Paddock secreting this arsenal into his 32nd suite without anyone (espec. housekeeping which was in/out of his suite every day) noticing. Vegas casino hotels are the most heavily surveilled structures outside the White House in America, with many visible cameras but many more concealed cameras recording everything in the lobbies, elevators, hallways and on the floors, where Paddock was well-known and on a first-name basis with the pit bosses and staff. Not to mention the police scanners which recorded officers saying there were multiple shooters not only at the Mandalay Bay but on the ground inside the venue. Another official lie cratering at warp speed.

My guess is; he left the window to shoot at the security guard (the hotel suite was pretty big), and by the time he got back, the crowd had dispersed. At that point he probably decided whether he should fight the inevitable SWAT team or off himself. He probably realized that fight would be shortly lost anyway, so he killed himself instead.
This would all make sense, however it is now being reported that he shot the security guard before he started the mass shooting. Odd

In a picture I saw of the Vegas hotel he was staying in somewhere since it's obviously been talked about and posted on a lot of sites I can't remember which site someone had brought up the point of the two broken windows in the picture and the large amount of space between them and how there had to be a second shooter

Now why did he remove the hard drive? The obvious reason was that he didn't want to lead the police to any others who were involved.

People have pooh-poohed the idea that he converted to radical Islam, but he's known to have visited the Middle East. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss that possibility.

Neither do I. I feel for the guy who is being targeted, I myself would be terrified. Are these people just playing , or are they deranged. These days you never know.
