Is not a rat, is a hamster. One of the most seriously underrated comedy actors of our time. RIP

I'm sorry but I can't resist. I would hope he would have appreciated it.

The TV star passed away after a secret four-year battle with dementia

So........was it perhaps a secret to him also?

I love Fawlty Towers. It's hard to believe he was 86.

I know that the BBC made several one-time "remakes" of classic Britcoms this year, but they damn well better not ever try to redo so much as one scene from any episode of FT, that show is comic perfection. God Bless you, Andrew .......

Que?? I don't know why this one little snippet from the show had me rolling but Manuel is at the hotel alone and the phone keeps ringing. He answers it in his usual flustered way. " Mr. Fawlty, he not here!" It rings again, "Mr. Fawlty, he not here, see?!" and turns the receiver around as if to look round the lobby. He puts it back to his ear and drops it in horror!!! It's Mr. Fawlty on the phone. I think I had tears in my eye. There is just something in the way he played that, that made it wonderful. RIP

So sad to hear that. He was great in that part.

He was an actor who took a role and knocked it out of the park. RIP Andrew Sachs.
