Dave Swarbrick - Fairport Convention

Dave Swarbrick, violin virtuoso, mostly famously as part of folk/rock group Fairport Convention has died.

He was fabulous, RIP Swarb.


Not sure if Fairport were known across the pond? They were originators of the UK folk/rock style in the mid to late 60's.

Yes, star-crossed but astonishingly prolific wellspring of British folk rock. I collected them during the Sandy Denny era. Richard Thompson soldiers on. RIP Dave.
