Windows 10 has been really good. Even with major updates I've had no problems.

I haven't had a problem either. And it does have a word possessor: Wordpad. It's limited, but it's better than nothing.

Microsoft is ending Windows 7 support on January 14, 2020. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...t?SilentAuth=1 My desktop is 7, and it is a dinosaur. Not enough memory, among other problems. I'm thinking about packing it away and using my laptop. Hmmmm....

I've been on a laptop exclusively for about 6-8 years now.
I used to be quite attached to my desktop, but no longer.

I use a wireless, external keyboard and mouse and a 23" monitor at home.
If I go out of town I just pack it up in 3 minutes and take it with me (minus the external monitor).

I'll likely never buy another desktop; my money goes to laptops from now on; and maybe an occasional lap dance.
