That sounds SO yummy his! I LOVE salisbury steak with potatoes... hubs is a very picky eater (I am NOT at all), and it can be a REAL challenge. He would LOVE that dish, just as I do. When you have a moment (and if it's not too much trouble), would you please be so kind to share the recipe either on the recipe thread or in a PM? It would be so very much appreciated... would love to make it! XO Thank you!

Hi Cynful, I wish it were homemade but it wasn't-
I cheated, (bowing head in shame) lol-
It was one of those banquet "family sized" things and it was awful.
The potatoes were mine though...They are known as fingerlings or medley potatoes, they look like stones to me-
So, its really simple, Just wash them off so there is no dirt on them..
These potatoes are small so you don't have to peel them.
lay them out on a cookie sheet, I lightly coat them with a extra virgin olive oil and 1tsp of grated lemon zest (keeping the pith out) sprinkle a little salt/pepper and chopped rosemary. Fresh rosemary is best but jarred will work too.
    I love love love rosemary!
My family likes these potatoes and it makes your house smell REALLY good. Just leave them in a 350 degree oven for gas or if you are like me and have the misfortune of an electric stove then it would be 375 degree oven.
Bake until fork soft, about 35 minutes.
My stove is evil so times vary.
I am trying various recipes trying to replicate different restaurant meals..I am going to try to find the "real" salisbury steak recipe my aunt (who was a chef)gave me years ago...I do remember the gravy was fairly simple..
When I find it I will happily share it with you.

That sounds yummy. It's been years since I cooked any. How do you cook yours? I browned the ground beef, added the other ingredients, and cooked it in a slow cooker.

Last night: Zaxby's grilled garden zalad. Ugh. Lol. I usually go for it, but it just didn't hit the spot. I ate as much as I could, which wasn't even half of it.

Don't know what we're having tonight or tomorrow night. I'd like to have KFC, but we had that Friday. Likely McD, with no salad. I may never eat another salad. Lol.

Today's meal is a long, convoluted and a bit funny story. We ended up at Firehouse subs.

We do not eat out much either. It's too bloody expensive. Our DIL had given us a treat for the weekend. Movie tickets and money for chow. We traded the tickets for a showing today. This theatre is kinda fancy and has smaller rooms for a more intimate setting. Holds about 30 in this room. Seats are freaking comfy. The seats we had yesterday were too close to the screen. So we drove from Moore to NW OKC to what once was, a fantastic buffet. Vegas style. Closed. Drove back down to SW OKC to another buffet we like. Closed. So I said "We are going to eat at the next damn thing I see open!" Hence, Firehouse subs.

By closed I meant they had gone out of business. One had been open 2 years, the other, 4.

Veggie lasagna for me, either ramen noodles or cereal for Miss E. We're staying with a friend for a while so I'm only making a complete meal once a week or so because we are sharing a kitchen. And when I make that meal, I'm making it for ALL of us. Miss E, me, my friend, her hubby, and her brother who lives with us. We went to the grocery store last night so I bought a week's worth of microwaveable dinners AND breakfasts for myself and Miss E, and she's got some chocolate milk. She's a happy camper.

NO clue. Miss E will probably have ramen noodles again since that's what she chose for her dinners. I have four Stouffer's single-serve meals upstairs in the freezer.

I made hamburger steaks with fried onion gravy, and mashed potatoes.
My husband brought home a 5 gallon bucket of frozen cherries from work yesterday, so I made cherry cobbler for dessert. I also made cherry blondies with a layer of brownie on top for him to take to work tomorrow
Missing my Pa every day. RIP Daddy ❤️♥️

ohhh sassy I haven't had that for a long time. I am not sure what to have, hubby is having dinner with his mom and I haven't been hungry lately. So I may just eat some fries, hubby forgot to get my peanut butter or I would make a peanut butter wrap.

I am not sure if this qualifies as a shepards pie OR just a shepards pie in disguise? (Just a 3 layer dish? From left overs)
Mashed potatoes, left over sloppy joe meat, peas, and a cresent roll topping~
    Anyway., The family loves it.

TOMORROW* Lasagna, Garlic bread, and a tossed salad.
