    What's for Dinner 2night?

The old thread hit the 5000 post mark, so it was time to close it.

What (was) for dinner tonight? Homemade split pea with ham soup, corn bread and peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream, courtesy of my mom, an excellent cook.

I normally won't touch corn bread. But when my mom makes it AND with her homemade soup to dunk it in? Gimme dat!

Hot dogs with just ketchup and mustard because I'm out of onions, and I hate to ask Sissy to bring me some because they are working her long and hard at Wally.

Steak, mashin' 'tatoes, and green beans.

Tomorrow, Sunday dinner after church is pork chops, more mashin' 'tatoes, stuffing, and corn.

    Supper later that night, pizza.

Chicken noodle soup and a hot dog, because the soup isn't enough to keep my glucose blood level from diving way down.

To my Father. Even though you have crossed the plane, you will always be with me.
You were not just my Father, but my hero. My life has been a poor attempt to be like you
You taught me music, vocals, and how to fight. I can only hope I am half the man you are
When I close my eyes I can see you. And finally, Thank you Dad. for everything.

Ham sammiches. With sharp Cheddar and Provolone cheeses, lettuce, and tomatoes. With chips and cake. Got two two-serving cakes. One red velvet for me and Little Bit, and one chocolate for the guys.

Papa Murphy's pizza. Watched the Grandkids from 0600 to 1700. Neither one of us had the energy to cook.

So I'm laying around waiting for Sissy to text about dinner. So I get her message:

    Sissy: What do you want?
    Me: McD? Wendy? BK?
    Sissy: Fush?

So I'm like WTHelicopter is Fush, but before I could reply, she sent another text:

    Sissy: Fish
Me: Okay. I want the usual.

So what is my usual? Grilled fish, bread stick, baked potato, corn on the cob, but I forgot to bring up my popsycles for desert. So Ima gonna go get me some.

Turkey meatloaf. My wife is quite good at making it tasty. Then I squeeze about a half ounce of siracha sauce and PERFECTION!

Fend for yourself. Today was grocery store day. Hubby got a BBQ pulled pork Hungry Man dinner, Little Bit got Chef Boyardee canned beefaronis, Schmoo got a couple of boxes of "roni cheese," and I got a couple of breakfast burritos.

Campbell's chicken noodle soup and a plain cheese sammy. I have ham for sammies that I ate for dinner last night and for breaky and I am already sick of it, but I won't get my check until Tuesday.

That sounds fabulous Ria... my mom has a crock pot roast recipe that is delicious, and like many dishes, it's even better on the second day. There's always enough left to make "sammiches" too! Yummers!

According to Schmoo, it is "nummy nums." Lol! We had a birthday party this afternoon, and Little Bit was the only one still hungry. So I fed her, and put the rest in the freezerator for tomorrow night.

We had a nacho Velveeta version of Hamburger Helper, bit I used canned chicken instead. I had a side salad from McDonald's with it.
