Gah! I loved him! So handsome! Hotel and The Glass Bottom Boat with Doris Day are two of my favorites.
He's also the father of NY-area news anchor Felicia Taylor.

I loved him too! Just watched "The Time Machine" a few days ago. RIP.
Ah, The Time Machine, it was a film that he was justifiably proud of, and which the several remakes haven't been able to equal. RIP

Me too. RIP.
You were one HOT man in your heyday. As for your acting .......
Here's Rod Taylor and William "Big Bill" Smith in Darker Than Amber. Those are not stunt men. As a point of reference, Bill Smith is the guy Clint Eastwood fights with in Any Which Way You Can.
The story is that at some point in this fight, a punch was thrown (neither would ever say who threw it) that actually connected and that things went "offscript" at that point. At any rate it's a pretty good cinematic fight.

No idea what went wrong with what I typed in my earlier post .... Rod's performance in Hotel helped to elevate the material above itself and made what could've been a trite soap opera into an interesting movie. That and the editing, which kept the film's pace brisk. He was also Debbie Reynolds' fiancé in The Catered Affair, which made the formidable Bette Davis his mother-in-law ! God, he was so sexy with his rugged good looks, and that muscular body with the hairy chest......

RIP handsome
A real handsome man!

If I was to create a list for the 2015 death pool, I had thought of placing Rod Taylor on it. However, I loved him so much that I just could not create a list or even think about it. What an absolutely handsome man. He sure was blessed with the good looks. I remember later appearances of him on "Murder, She Wrote." He was always playing someone in Ireland. It was pretty funny because he was originally from Australia. My favorite celebrities are already leaving this year. Even without me making a 2015 death pool list, the curse goes on.
The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
Another Aussie legend passes. R.I.P.

and another piece of the great old hollywood gone. RIP Rod
Anyone who likes romantic comedies should watch Sunday In New York. He co-starred with Jane Fonda and it is one of my favorite movies. So good! Also, he did some good ones with Doris Day as well. Very talented actor.
