This wasn't a poor family that needed two incomes and the woman was forced to work and leave her children with someone else, she worked very little and basically left the children with the nanny rather than being bothered with taking all three children with her. The nanny is an evil beast to kill two innocent children to spite the mother, but the mother showed incredibly poor judgement by continuing to leave her children with a woman that she couldn't get along with.
Well said Mammy! I wondered the same.

It seems there is a lack of commonsense even in the higher income zip codes.

Isn't that the truth! I don't understand what the Mom was thinking at all. Are they sure the nanny really stabbed herself? Who jabs a butcher knife into their own neck far enough to hit their spine? After seeing what the nanny did to the children, I could understand the Mom flipping out and attacking the nanny. I'm just flabbergasted that she left her children with a woman who she had been viciously arguing with.

the first thing I thought of when I saw this was that maybe the nanny was having an affair with the husband or the nanny had a thing for the husband and was jealous of the wife's life with him. I know that mentally unstable people dont always make rational sense as to why they do things but they usually DO have some kinda reason even if it's totally off the rails and makes no sense to those of us who are sane.

I'm interested in what her 'defense' is...I think we can all agree there isnt one in reality but in her reality there has to be SOME kinda reason behind this act

After I posted this I did some digging. The nanny was in court july 8th http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...and-trial.html

on a happy note The Krims are expecting a son.

The nanny was convicted this past April - I missed the resolution of this case. Life in prison.

Poor family, the mother looks like she is going to another child. I hope the nanny has a hell of a time in prison.
