Good to know it didn't interfere with the chemicals in her face. And it's always nice to celebrate still being alive with champagne. LOL.

My mother was a cleaning nut. Using just one cleaner didn't do it for her. So she combined bleach and ajax, which created a chemical cloud over the commode seat. I flushed it and the cloud disappeared. Mama deserves at least an honorable mention for that here.

    Two things:

    1) She probably thought the guy would swerve at the last second and go around her.
    2) It was a selfie - there simply has to be at least one great picture of the chlorine hitting the gene pool.

I bet they forgot to flap their arms while they were airborne.

A moment of careless forgetfulness that turned an everyday, routine, jumping-your-car-over-a-drawbridge commute into a needlessly fatal accident.
Everybody knows you've got to flap your arms.

It was too funny not to share. The World didn't need for them to pass on their Genetic Idiocy. Their Toxicology Report would be interesting to see.

Just wanted to point out that at this time, the Mt. Everest climber deaths thread is *just* upstairs from this Darwin Awards thread. No offense to all climbers, or even to the ones who died while backed up in...climber traffic?...but it’s an interesting juxtaposition

Climbing above breathable oxygen levels for selfies and bragging rights seems to be all the rage.
Maybe there should be turnstiles and occupancy limits.

Imagine if Disney didn't make your form a queue for Splash Mountain - it'd be nuts, I say.

I really can't figure out how this woman managed to reach the age of 58.
A manicurist in South Carolina has been killed by an alligator after trying to touch it or pet it.

    https://news.yahoo.com/woman-killed-...190145305.html

Seems she had done the nails of a client in a gated community there, and saw an alligator in a pond.
She decided that she wanted to get close to it, as you do whenever you see large alligators in nearby ponds.

As she attempted to touch it, the homeowner and her husband were screaming at her to get away from it, telling her that they had seen it grab a deer from that same spot earlier.

"But I don't look like a deer..."; she said.
That was either one stupid gator, or maybe it was just unencumbered by human-like biases whereby it discriminates against ready sources of food according to species; thus making it an enlightened alligator. As she reached to touch the gator, it surprisingly (or not) attacked and pulled her under water.

Now far too often, the story would pretty much end at that point.
In this case, it does not.

The woman actually surfaced, stood up in the pond and said, "I guess I won't do that again!"
    She was right, too.

As the husband and a neighbor were trying to pull her out with a rope, the gator decided that he liked the taste of idiocy and again took her under.

Now there is an important lesson here for everyone, especially for future contenders for future Darwin Awards.
I really don't need to get into that though, most of us don't need to hear it due to "survival instinct" and "common sense", and for others; it will simply be wasted information.

There are people who think wild animals are cute and harmless. It brings to mind that person who wanted a closer look at zoo lions, the woman who tried to pet a giant panda. And the woman I know on facebook who staked out her woods every morning, waiting for a fox to show up. She fed it every day and reported it on facebook. "It's so cute! It's not dangerous at all! Foxes have bad reps." She wanted to pet it. I'm like, rabies, lady, rabies. I think her friends finally convinced her to leave it alone.

    Florida Man

When you see that in the title, you have to wonder if what follows might really belong in the Darwin Awards thread, but this one didn't quite earn Florida Man that honor:

Florida Man Scalped By Black Panther.

An actual black leopard, not an activist.
Florida Man Dwight Turner paid $150.00 for an illegal, back-yard, "Full Contact" experience with the cat at a back yard sanctuary near Ft. Lauderdale.
The contact was quite full, thus you have to assume quite satisfying, based upon the fact that Mr. Turner came away from the experience with, "his scalp hanging from his head and his right ear torn in half".

Michael Poggi, the owner of the back yard sanctuary for endangered wildlife - note the the use of the word "wild" immediately preceding "life"; has admitted to charging people a fee to experience contact with the animal.

Would you ever have thought that might be illegal?
    What about unwise?

Obviously, Mr. Poggi over delivers on his promises, I hope that Florida Man Turner tipped accordingly.

Ria, I assume you are talking about the man that got mauled by the panther, if so he didn't die. So I don't think he belongs here. If you can redo your post under everything else and start a new thread, on him.

I merged your threads as Ria originally started this thread in Darwin Awards, which I moved out of there to create this thread as the man did not die.

I apologize, I didn't realize that to be in the Darwin thread they had to die. I thought they just had to be stupid. ROFLMAO. But bonus points if anyone knows where the little song at the beginning of the thread came from.

Why am I not surprised, I think it will get thrown out of court if she does decide to file a lawsuit, I mean the judge would be like "What did you think would happen if you put extra strength super glue on your hair, I mean most of the population has enough common sense to know better, ma'am I do believe that you don't have a hair I mean leg to stand on, case dismissed."
