I like him.
I like him.
That's the "Don't Rock The Jukebox" guy, right??
Yeah.
I'm not a huge country fan but his 9/11 song made me cry like a baby. Also his song "Remember When" I can't listen to. Makes me way too depressed.
He does have an amazing voice.

Apparently, someone stole it and they are selling it for 9.99
I almost always like men without mushtaches but Alan looks good with his.
Where were you when they built the ladder to heaven?

One of my favorites
Man, reading through the board today i have realized that there are many famous Jacksons.
Here a Jackson, there a Jackson, everywhere a Michael Jackson.
I'd do him too maybe
He is no way shape or form related to Michael. So keep this thread devoted to Alan Jackson.
Every time I see him, I hear the spoof of him on South Park. I can't remember where I was, though, when they built the ladder to heaven.
The most dangerous woman of all is the one who refuses to rely on your sword to save her because she carries her own.

He waterskies in his cowboy boots.
He's a keeper!
It's 5 O'clock Somewhere....best anthem to end your workday with EVER!!! Teaming up with Jimmy Buffett was awesome!
Alan Jackson is one of the best looking Jacksons around.

Alan Jackson put the house on the market
19,000 square feet and $38 million. Those really are the only two things you need to know about the house Alan Jackson is selling in Franklin, Tennessee. To beat that... 19,000 square foot and it only has 6 bedrooms. So make that three things you need to know about Jackson's home, 19,000 square feet, 6 bedrooms, and an asking price of approximately $38 million.
Seriously, I so would have jumped on this deal last year, but this year in this economy I think I'll stick with the lower seven figure homes.
Alright, all kidding aside, Alan Jackson has put his really big, really beautiful estate up for sale. The property is surrounded by equestrian estates and has the Harpeth River nearby. Amenities include stocked & aerated lake w/boat house & 3 ponds, 20 car garage, gymnasium, 2 bed log cabin overlooking river, barn w/2 bed apt above, pole barn, an airplane landing pad, & more.
The move isn't that surprising since Alan had told Nashville Scene not too long ago that he and his wife, Denise, were considering dragging out the moving boxes and going for something a wee bit smaller.
"It's just like a Disney World out here," he says. "But we realized, as our girls got older, that they don't really use the property much. Once they get to be teenagers, they're mostly hanging out with their friends and on the iPod and cell phones in their rooms. If I'd had three boys instead of girls, they might be out here fishing and riding four-wheelers or something."
So Alan's stuck to his word and the result is one heck of a big real estate listing. Check out all the info on Real Estalker. You can also check out closeup pictures of the house here.
So do you suppose Alan and Denise will be having the king of all moving sales?
Has he ever tried any other venues of music....like pop.
Well, I dunno, but that is one gorgeous house he has for sale!
I have never been a great Alan Jackson fan--I loved his song about 9/11, and Remember When is ok--but recently he released something called, "Sissy's Song," about someone he lost with whom he was close. That song was released about the same time as a young girl about 17, an acquaintance of mine (actually, both driver and passenger were friends of ours) was killed in an accident in which alcohol was involved. Her family is very involved in racing, she was a fantastic young racer herself, and her family had her buried in her driving suit. Everytime that song comes on the radio, I cry and hope that someday soon the pain will ease for everyone involved.
I have always liked Alan Jackson's music and in interviews he seems so shy and sweet. I would never have pictured him living in a house like that. He seems like such a good ol boy.
I will tell you that I watched an interview with him once and one of the topics covered made me look a little askance at him--his favorite sandwiches are made with Hellman's Mayonnaise and fried pineapple, I believe it is. I remembered the Hellman's because I was surprised--your typical Southern boy loves his Duke's! But fried pineapple sandwiches?!
Ewww.
It's so fun to find a thread about so many different people and things here!!
I like many genres of music, including country. Alan Jackson is one of my favorite male country singers (Garth Brooks is another of my favorites). I have AJ's CD that includes the song "Remember When;" a song that is so beautifully written and performed.
I've always loooved Alan. He's awesome and so darned good lookin'!
Daughter hits cop. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment...riking-police/
That's crazy. Then again maybe she's trying to kick off a career. Anything is better than Miley at this point. She really sounds like a little brat. She even dropped her dad's celebrity card.
I am the king of all things stupid!
He must have some wild ones. It's been less than a year since the oldest one was arrested for DUI. Daddy's cash will be getting quite a workout.
