Ok, about the pictures I posted. The first 2 are Squad 51 from the '70's TV show Emergency!. This show along with other things inspired me to get into the EMS field. The next 2 pix are an example of the current squads that LA county Fire is using. LA County Fire Department designed and build the utility body that is used on the back of the squads. The unit used in the TV show was built by Universal studio's from plans given them by LA County.
The 5th picture is an ambulance that is very similar in design to the one I drove the last couple years I worked as a Paramedic.

Hi guys! I was a nursing assistant for 1.5 years, a RN working in the ICU for 2 years, and I have been a nurse anesthetist (CRNA) for the last 20 years...I'll have to share one of my funniest stories with y'all...Before we put a patient to sleep, we'll ofter chit-chat/sh\are some small talk...I was about to do a case on a lady with a broken hip, so I asked her "How'd you break your hip, hon?" She replies, "Well, I have these hemorrhoids, and I wanted to see em', so I got this chair and put it in front of my bathroom mirror...I got up in the chair, bent over, and...." I quickly pushed the induction drugs, so I wouldn't choke on laughter! This story is from my "Sugar, I just wouldn't of told that!" file...

I work with developmentally disabled kids in a behavioral institution/group home. I love what I do, and can't imagine doing anything else with my life! We have 6 boys that live in our home day in and day out. They are some of the coolest people I know.

Meg, I think anyone who works with kids is got to be the most patient person in the world. My daughter teaches first and second grade. I just couldn't spend that much time with kids. After 20 minutes I'm climbing the walls.

Fultondyke, that is a funny story. Nurses are some of my favorite people. When I worked as a paramedic I all was had a good working relationship with the ER nurses.
